Yes, Costa Rica was also an option. Our trip there last time was an effort to do a field check :-D.
In the end we chose Philippine because it's nearer to Indonesia and the visa deposit requires less money.

Oh...yess, for sure. home relocation is always a huge project and lots of hassles plus stress, regardless to where.
Especially when you have a family and children :).
