Mis experiencias en el Varadero Gourmet 2023

Hola familia de Hive Cuba, espero estén bien, hoy vengo a escribir la experiencia vivida durante el Varadero Gourmet realizado como cada año en Plaza América, Varadero, Cuba.

Como cada año, muchos establecimientos estatales como particulares, nacionales e internacionales con presencia en el mercado cubano se visten de gala y sacan sus mejores productos para exponerlos en esta feria que acoge nuestro balneario cada año.

Jueves 21 de septiembre del 2023, 11:00 am, me dispongo a coger un transporte que me lleve hasta la sede del evento, después de tomar un carro que me dejara en la calle 54 donde está el ya conocido Todo en uno y después de una espera de media hora, tomo un carro que me lleva hasta la sede del evento donde después de conversar con una amistad mía me dice que vaya al área de acreditación que por el valor de 1000 cup me darían una invitación diaria, les ahorro el proceso como fue todos sabemos como somos de buenos para hacer pasar trabajo a la gente así estemos pagando para disfrutar.

Ya con mi invitación en mano me di a la tarea de recorrer los distintos stands que había en la feria, sobre todo los dedicados a las bebidas, ¨ saben de mi amor por este mundo, en el camino a visitar el primer stand me encuentro con el equipo de animación de los hoteles de cubanacan que tenían aquello movido al ritmo de música y baile y al ritmo de ellos todos los presentes en las cercanías gozando como decimos a lo cubano.

Seguidamente, me fui a disfrutar de mi festival y si el mío porque así lo sentí y disfrute, pase por el stand del vino Sangre de Toro donde tuve la oportunidad de ver su cartera de productos, seguidamente me aventure a explorar el mundo de los rones donde pude ver el Ron Isla del Tesoro ron que aún no pruebo, pero me llama la atención. Me dirigí a ver la línea de ron que presentaba Cubaron entre ellos rones de mi tierra como el Perla, Cubay y otros de excelencia como la línea Santiago y Eminente un placer enorme ver la cantidad rones que se producen en nuestro país y la fuerza que posee la industria ronera en nuestra isla.

Como buen cubano seguí andando y desandando en búsqueda de seguir deleitándome con las exposiciones de productos que se encontraban representados, y para mi sorpresa me encuentro con un puesto que estaba dedicado a nuestra canchanchara(Brebaje que tomaban los mambises en las luchas por la independencia) bebida tan cubana como histórica y devenido uno de los cocteles cubanos con los cuales nos identificamos los cantineros cubanos.
Entre otras de las actividades que realice en este evento fue la cata a ciega de rones cubanos que si bien no salí la experiencia fue reconfortante, toca prepararse más.

Varadero gourmet fue un motivo de reencuentros con personas que hacía mucho no veía, un lugar para explorar nuevos sabores, un motivo para aprender un poco más de nuestra rica y exquisita gastronomía, de conocer de primera mano el trabajo que ejecutan nuestros cantineros y nuestros cocineros en un escenario tan difícil como el actual, me voy con la satisfacción de al menos un día disfrutar de este excelente evento que reúne lo mejor de la gastronomía en nuestro país.

My experiences at the Varadero Gourmet 2023

Hello Hive Cuba family, I hope you are well, today I come to write the experience lived during the Varadero Gourmet carried out as every year in Plaza América, Varadero, Cuba.

As every year, many state establishments as private, national and international with presence in the Cuban market dress up and take out their best products to expose them in this fair that our resort hosts every year.

Thursday, September 21, 2023, 11:00 am, I set out to take a transport that takes me to the headquarters of the event, after taking a car that left me on 54th street where the already known Todo en uno is and after a wait of half an hour, I take a car that takes me to the headquarters of the event where after talking to a friend of mine he tells me to go to the accreditation area where for the value of 1000 cup they would give me a daily invitation, I save the process as we all know how we are good to make people work even though we are paying to enjoy.

Already with my invitation in hand I set out to tour the different stands that were in the fair, especially those dedicated to drinks, "they know of my love for this world, on the way to visit the first stand I find the animation team of the Cubanacan hotels that had that moved to the rhythm of music and dance and to the rhythm of them all the people present in the vicinity enjoying as we say to the Cuban.

Then, I went to enjoy my festival and if mine because that's how I felt and enjoyed, I went through the Sangre de Toro wine stand where I had the opportunity to see their product portfolio, then I ventured to explore the world of rum where I could see the Ron Isla del Tesoro rum that I have not tried yet, but it attracts my attention. I went to see the line of rum presented by Cubaron among them rums from my land like Perla, Cubay and others of excellence like the Santiago and Eminente lines, it was a huge pleasure to see the amount of rum produced in our country and the strength that the rum industry has on our island.

As a good Cuban I kept walking and backtracking in search of continuing to delight myself with the exhibitions of products that were represented, and to my surprise I find a stall that was dedicated to our canchanchara (beverage that the mambises took in the struggles for independence) as Cuban as historical and become one of the Cuban cocktails with which we identify the Cuban bartenders.
Among other activities that I carried out in this event was the blind tasting of Cuban rum that although I did not leave the experience was comforting, you have to prepare yourself more.

Varadero gourmet was a reason for reunions with people who had not seen in a long time, a place to explore new flavors, a reason to learn a little more about our rich and exquisite cuisine, to know first-hand the work executed by our bartenders and our cooks in such a difficult scenario as the current one, I leave with the satisfaction of at least one day enjoy this excellent event that brings together the best of gastronomy in our country.
