Unusual Rocks Between The Cliff And The Sea

Went walking down the beach recently and came across these interesting rock formations.

Being out by the sea in the fresh air is always relaxing, and being able to visit these kinds of things keeps it always interesting and fresh.

It's kind of like someone took a whole pile of clay blobs and mushed them together to set and form these shapes. Yet they are all naturally made, then at some point pushed up to form seaside cliffs. Chunks slowly fall from the cliffs along the shore so we all get to see them.

Different things seem to like growing on them. Various kinds of seaweed and some kind of moss, both red and green. They must like the warmth they hold once the tide goes out and the sun is shining on them.

Even some shellfish live on them, although I think the many sea birds around the area probably make life a little hard for them, but some seem to survive.

These are only reachable a low tide, so when the sun is out and it's not to breezy off the ocean, it makes a nice place to visit. What's amazing too it that it always changes. Between the tides coming on going, sometimes rather forcefully with storms of the coast, they change the rocks. Some get buried in sand, other washed and worn or moved about.

Then the cliffs get battered by the sea spray and rain. Being a soft rock, they then crack and every now and then fall to expose a different picture.

Enjoy.
