The iconic Tarash Raj Mahal, approximately 245 years old.🏫

Hello @worldmappin community friends.
How are you all? Hope you are well. Today I will tell you about a very important Zamindar house tour. The Zamindar house was Tarash Zamindar house. It is believed that the Zamindar house was built 245 years ago. This Zamindar house is not just an iconic architecture, it is a living document of history, tradition, and culture. There is a lot of golden past hidden in the golden walls of this Zamindar house. Ray Bahadur Banamali Roy built this Zamindar house. He built this Zamindar house with such an aesthetic design that it looks like a palace built in a European design. Till now it is still standing tall. Today, I will share with you my experience about how I felt after visiting this ancient monument. I hope you will enjoy reading today's blog. You will know the history very well. Let's get started.

Tarash Zamindar House is located in Pabna district of Bangladesh. This Zamindar House is located in the heart of Pabna district city. So my friend and I went to Pabna by bus from our district city Meherpur. After getting down in Pabna city, my friend and I took a rickshaw to the gate of this house. The place in front of the gate of this house is called Ray Bahadur Gate. The reason why the place is called Ray Bahadur Gate is because this place is named after the royal gate that you can see in front of this Zamindar House. And the builder of this house is Zamindar Ray Bahadur Banamali Roy. The gate of this house is named Ray Bahadur Gate after the name of Zamindar Ray Bahadur. The two of us looked at the gate and were fascinated. The entire architecture of the gate is made in the style of European architecture. It seems like it is the gate of a whole palace. It is not surprising that it was actually a palace before. We went there and saw that the gate was closed and a security guard was standing there. We asked the security guard in charge of security and entered the gate with permission. After entering, we started looking around and the first thing that caught our eye was the iconic Zamindar's house. Built in the European Renaissance architectural style, the facade of this palace has four huge Corinthian columns and a semicircular arch, which have played a very important role in enhancing the beauty of this building. We learned from a person in charge here that this building has a total of 16 rooms, 80 doors and 53 windows. Zamindar Roy Bahadur Banamali Roy used to run his zamindari from this house. Then we went to the side of this house and started seeing the architecture of the Jalana Darja. In short, it was a great experience. The architectural style is so tasteful that it is impossible to look away. The windows have been made of high-quality wood and glass of that time.

The pillars above and below the building are designed with beautiful terracotta. Looking at the terracotta designs, you can get a great feel of ancient architecture. It looks like a European architecture. Architecture in Europe is certainly mixed with Bengali culture, and the only living example of this is these beautiful terracottas. The doors and windows seem to be still alive. Some of the glass in the doors or windows has been broken. Still, it looks very beautiful. In a word, after going here, I fell in love with this house. I liked everything about this house. Then we started experiencing the beauty of the house from the side. Looking from the bottom up, it seems like a royal vibe. We kept looking around. What is architecture, you can understand by looking at this house. Modern architects may be able to design very beautiful modern buildings, but I don't think they can do the architecture of the past like this building.

We went from one side of the building to the other. When we went to the other side, we saw that the opposite side had the same architecture and terracotta. There was not a single difference anywhere. It seemed like a complete and very well-crafted architectural style. After coming from one side to the other, I noticed everything, including the windows and doors, very carefully. But there was no change anywhere. It was exactly the same on one side as it was on the other. In fact, this is such an architecture that I think anyone who comes here will be impressed.

One thing you were not told is that we only got a chance to see the landlord's house from the outside, we got a chance to look around, but since it was closed, we could not enter the room. We went to its floor, we looked around the floor of this building. First, you can see a round gate on the way to the main building's floor. It is a very high round gate. The reason for making such a high round gate was so that elephants could go directly inside this gate at that time. Because at that time, elephants were the tradition of the royal house or landlord's house. Elephants were used for various functions of the king. Then we looked at the ceiling and the unique architecture of the water roof has been given on the ceiling of the ceiling. The water roof is a unique sign of the previous landlord's house. Which is actually very beautiful. Then we saw the floor beams. Although they are hundreds of years old, the floor beams are still intact. The pillars on the floor also have aesthetic designs.

I touched the hundreds of years old door on the floor. Even though it is a hundred years old door, it is very strong and durable. It doesn't look like it was built a long time ago. Very high quality wood has been used for the door here. The wood is very high quality, thick and strong.

Before leaving this building, I tried to see the terracotta a little. Because these beautiful terracottas attracted me a lot. I took pictures of two terracottas from close up and shared them with you. If you look at the two pictures above, you will understand. One is a terracotta of flowers and the other is an art in harmony with Bengali culture.

This zamindar house is currently under the Directorate of Archeology of Bangladesh. So it is maintained by the Government of Bangladesh. For this reason, many flower trees have been planted in front of this zamindar house. The flowers have enhanced the beauty of the house. Then it was time for us to go out. So we took some more iconic pictures of the house to share with you by looking at the pictures above, you will understand and took a picture of what the main gate of the house looks like from inside the house. I hope you like this aesthetic design landlord house a lot. If you like it, please comment.
