MY DAY WAS LIKE 🤭

I spent my whole day at the theater today and decided to make it memorable, I have been on back-to-back rehearsals and presentations and decided to make today's own memorable. I haven't been taking pictures of my previous presentations, I don't even know why I decided to take a picture today, I'm not a picture person, usually, I'm the one taking others' pictures, as for today's exception, I can't really tell why, but I'm happy I did, more so because I can also share it here after making up my mind that I wasn't going to take participate in this episode of the hl-contest.

I think among all my previous presentations, I was able to relate more with the character I acted in this particular one. It was the character of a prisoner who had lived his life as an old man. (Don't mind the makeup, it was fading at the time I took the picture) The old man had spent 35 years of his life in the civil service, 35 years full of mystery, it was as though he would never prosper in anything no matter how hard he tried and was at the end of it all framed up two months to his retirement, his signature forged, millions stolen, and was sent to prison for a crime he knew nothing about...

The story tells the normal African religious and spiritual way of life, and we choose to act something out of the norms because of the kind of audience we were presenting to. It was an elderly people's party as my director will call it. The party was meant to celebrate elders who have retired or reach retirement age, and knowing how religious and spiritual this set of people can be, we acted in accordance.

I must confess, it was really fun, to begin with, I remember not being able to look at myself in the mirror after I was costumed even though I was trying to get into character, it was funny how I saw myself. One memorable part of the play was when I almost burst into laughter on stage because of the things my fellow prisoner and the warder were saying... Believe me, those guys are clowns, and it's hard to be serious among them. But then after the whole play, I had time to reflect on everything I acted and discovered that life is indeed as spiritual as it is physical. In the play, the character I played was already caused from birth by his name because of things his mother did, and he suffered all his life for it. Many might not believe in these things, but I'm of the opinion that there are forces In this world that we have little or no knowledge about, and in some ways, these forces influence physical occurrences. Everyone is entitled to their opinions about life, and this just happens to be mine. In all, it was fun playing this character and it gave me things to reflect on about life.
