Matar Ka Nimona( India Style Green Peas Curry)

I hope all of you are doing well. Today, I'm sharing a delicious recipe made with peas that adds a unique flavor to various dishes. It's a Northern Indian popular dish called "Matar ka Nimona," which pairs exceptionally well with rice.

Ingredients:

  1. 500 grams of green peas
  2. 5 potatoes
  3. Coriander powder
  4. Red chili powder
  5. Garam masala
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 3 small-sized onions
  8. A few cloves of garlic
  9. Ginger piece

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Grind the peas in a mixer to create a thick paste.

  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into pieces. Fry them in oil until golden brown.

  1. Grind onions, garlic, ginger, and green chilies into a paste.

  1. Heat a pan, add a tablespoon of oil, and roast the pea paste until it loses its rawness.

  1. In another pan, heat oil, add the onion paste, and cook until it turns brown.

  1. Combine the roasted pea paste with the onion paste. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Mix well.

  1. Pour water and let it simmer. Add the fried potatoes and cook for 2 minutes. Then, turn off the heat.

  1. Garnish with coriander and your Nimona is ready to be enjoyed with rice, roti, or bread.

Please go easy on the photos. I'm scrolling through a lot of photos, essentially the same, to get to the next set of instructions. Try to keep to one for each step, or if more than one is needed consider doing it as a collage.
