That's amazing, how did you end up being the only person on the plane? I actually only heard of a story like that once before. I always assumed that the airline would cancel a flight if there wasn't enough passengers to make a flight profitable.
For your connecting flight going to Athens, I don't ever been on a flight where passengers were that vocal about reclining back in their seat. Personally, I am not really bothered by it with the exception of extreme reclining and when someone doesn't want to return their seat to the original position during meal times.
No idea? It was Qatar airlines anyway so they were going back to HQ i suppose.
Haha I saw one angry dude pushing the reclined chair in front of him really hard just to make a point after being ignored. I got told off in similar fashion too. Not even during meal..
That's quite possible. I think the only thing I can think of is if that plane had to be somewhere else. As in, the plane you were on was scheduled to be the plane for a different trip. Oh wow, I don't think anyone has ever complained to me about reclining my chair.
I am surprised you went to Greece, I thought Greece was having a lot of problems with economic migrants and public order at the moment.
As I know Greece is bankrupt due to money issues on the international front and impacting the locals which may explain why shops are closed early because no-one have any money to spend.
I wish you could welcome me in GREECE as well. I really need to come back again. It has been over 20 years I was Hopping around the islands and especially Hydra
We eat dinner at around 8:30 - 10 pm here un Uruguay. It is a bit odd since we usually have pretty heavy meals (meat/pasta/stews)

Oh and get use to the crazy drivers and motorcycles and if anyone gets on your nerves tell them ESE MALAKAS! kidding Enjoy :)) wish I was there now!

No, I live in Florida when my grandparents died they left me the homes. But I have family In Athens and Sparta, cousins, uncles, aunts, etc. Do you need something? I can call them and have them meet you if you need something? Where are you staying? I go every year in August when it slows down to open the homes up and let air in. The house keepers do a crappy job with everything, the garden is always overgrown! Let me know if I can help you or you need help with anything :) How long are you staying? I have only met one other Greek on here and he is from Cyprus! Loutraki is nice the views of the ocean are great! So you are in Corinth. Did you see the Acropolis? The ancient Greek Olympic stadium is nice too. If you go to the Acropolis, there is a region called Plaka, you can find so much cool stuff there from A-Z and get great bargains. If I were you though, I would stick with to the islands :)) Enjoy the rest of your time there.
I dream to know greece sometime in the future! so have the best of times there... since I've heard/read lots of blog travels the people say is a hidden gem to walk through the alleys and corridors in the dawn, before all the tourists and noise hit the city... so maybe you would like to explore a bit?

haha thats good for you cause you probably had the best service ever in the flight. I have been flying to Vancouver. The fly time to Vancouver is so reasonable an acceptable for me, only less than 12 hours. and also some regional flights in Asia. It's good to have my own flying pattern now! Anyway, cant wait to know more about your trip in Greece!!
Last time I went to Greece was in2009. I had a blast. My favourite vacation OG all time. The people, the weather, the scenery, the food, the music, the history and last but not least party until the next day. Case closed...~|/||/|~

I use Google Docs when I'm making a post from my phone. I don't have to type I dictate. After I proofread I make my edits then copy and paste it into Steemit. My fingers are too big and clumsy to type on my phone.

The good thing is that in Athens you literally see everything. There are places for every type of person so in one hand it's good you haven't planned anything, just go out and explore! Don't forget to try as many different types of food and drinks as you can, i bet that experience will be unique!
Ahh and don't miss the cafes,clubs,bars and in general the entertainment and nigh life !!

That taxi driver ripped you off lol. You could have saved by taking the metro from the airport. It is just €10 and you would see views for half of the way :-)
They do do drive like crazy there. They have one of the highest car accident rates in Europe, especially hitting pedestrians (be careful!). Last time I was in Athens I witnessed a car accident. 3 cars smashed into each other. I am looking forward to more posts from Greece!

Yea i thought it was too much. The recline was allowable by the design of the chair..

That taxi driver ripped you off lol. You could have saved by taking the metro from the airport. It is just €10 and you would see views for half of the way :-)
They do do drive like crazy there. They have one of the highest car accident rates in Europe, especially hitting pedestrians (be careful!). Last time I was in Athens I witnessed a car accident. 3 cars smashed into each other. I am looking forward to more posts from Greece!

Nice post, I love Greece! Hope you can start enjoying after the speedy start! I had a similar experience with driving, only I was behind the wheel and waaay slower than all others - so scary!

Definitely the taxi driver ripped you , next time you want to move around with a taxi download Taxi Beat (its an app calls the taxi from the app , and the fare is also logged there, harder to scam you , and also you can leave a review there or even rate the driver ! Enjoy the trip man! I always say that crying babies are good omens for the trip ahead. I've been trying to get to Greece for a long time. Hopefully swinging out there next summer.
Then head on down to Loutraki - the crypto-friendliest place on Earth! well, not now but some folks are working on it :) beautiful place but unfortunately quite run down since the economic depression. it may be ready by next summer too :)
