Evening Coffee and Wandering Thoughts
There’s something magical in the minutes before sunset. The sunlight turns golden, shadows stretch long across the ground, and the world feels a little slower. I sit on my small porch, a cup of black coffee in front of me, steam gently dancing in the air.
For many people, coffee is just a drink to stay awake. But for me, it’s a little ritual. Every sip feels like pressing the “pause” button in the middle of a life that sometimes runs too fast. As I drink, my thoughts wander—about dreams I haven’t reached yet, plans still scribbled in my notes, even random things that make me laugh at myself.
This afternoon, I realized life is a lot like coffee. Sometimes bitter, sometimes sweet. There are moments you want to rush through, and there are moments you just want to sit still and enjoy slowly.
At this wooden table, I’m not anyone special—just an ordinary person learning to appreciate small things. And somehow, in moments like this, my heart feels full. No two sunsets are ever the same, yet they always remind me, “hey, today I’m still here.”
And maybe, that’s already enough.
I’m curious—what’s your little daily ritual that brings you peace? 🍃
