Clothes and Stories, empty spaces to fill.

The part I love the most, is to create the story. They pop up in my head as soon as I touch the object or the fabric. Sometimes they change over time, many times, until I find the right scenario for them. Then I create it, the thing, the clothes. I tell the story, with my words, the garment, with photography.

But what happens after?

Myself I have only one life. I can’t adapt all the stories I invent to my own. Even if I had a huge house or a French Chateau with 200hectares of Land and Forest around I wouldn’t find the space, physically nor emotionally to fill it up with all these stories.

What do I really mean?

I want to create stories, moments, scenarios, but for spaces of others. I want to furnish and arrange a whole apartment with linen curtains, green plants, cute coffee cups, just to walk out and start all over again, somewhere else.

I want to dress up people for very specific events. I want to make dresses for people to walk through lost little French villages, only following the scent of freshly baked bread. The rustling sound of the long linen dress matching the sound of their shoes echoing on the old town walls.

I want to make wedding dresses for women, not just for their wedding day. But also just to celebrate their life on any given day of the year.

I want to pack someones suit case for a trans-sibirian train ride back in the days, but tomorrow. With a cashmere turtle neck and an embroidered silk scarf. A note book and a pen, so they can write a book along the way.

I want to arrange the whole of a 16th century Chateau in France. From the massive wooden kitchen table indoors, to the dresses to stroll through the forest, the apron used for cooking and baking or the hunting costumes.

Outdoors, I’ll arrange an english Garden to exchange secret love letters around a hidden food forest.

I want to fill spaces with stories. Reaching out for ancient inspiration and placing them into tomorrow. Learning the knowledge of our ancestors and adapt it to our time.

Spaces?

Closets, rooms, pages, gardens, houses, books. Anything that can be filled with a story.

Where do I find these spaces to be filled up with a contemporary romantic story?

Do you have any idea?
Let me know!

Cheers for stopping by, have a great week!

It sounds like you need to work as a set and wardrobe creator for theater and film.

Secret love letters in an enchanted forest? Sounds amazing!!
And I like the idea of a wedding dress that a woman can wear on other occasions than the actual wedding day. I think you should follow that thread and see where it goes!
Personally i wore floral embrodered jeans (hand-me-downs from my sister) to my town hall wedding. At the time it was just a procedure to be able to stay in the country but now I really cherish those pants!!

Thank you, for those inspiring words!:)
Oh that's a lovely story as well, I guess no matter the day itself it becomes a garment with a kind of big history. A lovely picture: getting married in flower-jeans:)
Ill give my best, with so many ideas I find it hard to focus on one, but the wedding dresses are turning around for a while now... we'll see:)

Every time I read your work it’s just wow. I love how you make it feel so mágica. The pictures and all while the person reads. It’s amazing.
