Sublime Sunday: Off to a good start...

I always manage to wake up to a moral burden on Sundays and the A-Z of this comes as a push for me to start the day with some religious activities. That's basically how the early hours of my Sundays are spent and it's never a surprise because it's like a norm in my part of the world.

Going to church on Sundays is never a problem for me because I have a long list of Catholic churches around my residential area. So many of them... I'm almost spoilt for choice. It's been a while since I went to 'Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Catholic Church', the Parish built inside the University of Ibadan (UI).

I decided to worship in the Parish today and the whole Mass celebration was as sophisticated as ever. I enjoyed all the hymns, the sermon and the whole Mass celebration. The mass was celebrated in a good blend of English and Latin. Some of the songs were also in Latin and I thoroughly enjoyed those.

The part of this day spent in Church was enjoyable from start to finish although everything happened so fast. Haha. The mass ended by 10am and drizzles of rainfall were already in the atmosphere when I stepped out of the Church premises. It wasn't a big deal though. It didn't stop me from going back home.

I planned to buy a bunch of stuff on my way back from church, but Akara (deep-fried Bean cake) didn't make it to my shopping list. However, when I came across that on my way back from church, I decided to improvise and fit that into my list. Haha. That's what I had for breakie and the seller did a really good job. It tastes awesome.

It's a few hours past mid-day and it feels like I need to relax and get some rest this Sunday. I already know what to do. I will be checking out the drama on my watchlist and I plan to eat something sumptuous this evening. This Sunday has sublimity written all over it and I plan to enjoy the rest of this day to a tee. Hehe.

On the other hand, I'm also preparing myself for the start of a new week. I dunno about you, but as far as I can tell, my new week starts on Mondays.
