Brunch Love

This morning I woke up craving for a short walk and sunshine. Our leg muscles are sore from yesterday's hike, but we decided to go searching for a cafe for brunch. I thought of just buying take-away hot latte and chill at a bench in Jiyugaoka. This place is a gem in Tokyo! The numerous tasty food and artsy coffee shops and fashion boutiques are enough reasons to spend a good day. 

We decided to look around, but when my tummy started craving for something warm I got my dose of decaf latte when we passed by Starbucks. That was a mistake. And Kevin's poker face didn't say much until he dragged me to Jiyugaoke Latte Graphic cafe. Meh. I had to cover my cup with my mask and politely apologized for coming there with a take-away coffee bought from somewhere else, lol. 

Then we sat down, and I was full of instant regrets. The variety of decaf coffee was one thing; but when I saw the fresh chai on the menu, I cringed. Whyyyyy, Bula? Okay Im just being overdramatic, this place is just a stone-throw away from where we live so I can basically come back anytime.

It's customary for Japanese to line up and patiently wait for vacant seats, some even wait for an hour! Most of the time here, if there's a queue, it's likely worth waiting. So we did, luckily only for 10minutes. And then it couldn't get any better, we got the best seat.

We almost overstayed when we saw the longer queue of folks waiting outside. It was time someone else get their share of scrumptious brunch at the best seat. What a wonderful start of the day. Sunny Sundays are the best! xoxo

I've never been to Jiyugaoka and Jellie keeps insisting we would go. I think I understand why now. 😅
