Wednesday With My Aya: Simple Day, Ice Cream and Life Lessons.
Yesterday, I asked my boss to leave home early. I told him that I need to sign Aya's document. I like it here, if your kid urgently needs things at school and it was "Ok Katie, you can go now and have a nice afternoon." That’s it, there's no second thoughts for saying yes. These are small things and I know how much they matter especially for the education of kids.
-Waiting for the bus. 🥰
After that, luckily I have time for the next bus. It was a bright sunny day and even though I had errands the day was beautiful.
Aya has a singing class that afternoon. As always after class she will go to visit Babi and then go home. And that time, we head to school and home together.
We met at Babi and on our way to school, we passed by the store Grande. Something caught our attention. We stumbled upon a big, purple Kuromi stuffed toy. Placed right in front of the shop that almost
It’s placed at the front of the shop. The Kuromi plush toy occupies a great spot that catches passerby attention that is hard to ignore. She asked me if we could check it. And so we went inside and when she saw the price, it was €32, she looked at me and said softly, “Let's go already Mama, it’s expensive.”
I was proud at that moment because Aya already understood the value of money. At my daughter's age, other kids will complain, get angry at their parents if they do not grant their request, but she didn’t. I reminded her that it’s important to spend money wisely and focus on the things that are important.
I know she likes it and it's not always what she wants I need to buy. And to lighten her mood, I promised Aya a small treat. I will buy ice cream after school and she was so happy.
When we were at school, we met her teacher for a short talk, paid the locker and signed the document.
After school as I promised to her, we stopped for ice cream and the only available in the store was magnum, oreo and other popsicles. Aya happily chose an Oreo cornetto and for us with Babi was Magnum.
As we walked home, it was a simple day and a lesson. Other children may not realize the value of money that their parents are working hard for. Aya showed maturity, simply understood it was expensive and learned to appreciate small things, even Oreo cornetto. It was not expensive like the Kuromi and we ended it with smiles over ice cream. Sometimes, the best lessons are taught in the simplest ways.
And happiness will not matter on the price and it good to be with the people your love. 🥰
Aya is so mature for her age, It's nice that she understand money and is happy with simple things like ice cream.
Thank you sis! I'm really happy for it. 😍
It's incredible to see that even at such a young age, she recognizes the worth of money and is mindful of her surroundings. It shows a remarkable amount of maturity and thinking for someone her age. What's more touching is that, despite everything, she still finds delight in the simplest things, such as eating ice cream. It's obvious that she loves the experience over anything else, and that kind of appreciation is quite amazing to see 😍
I told her to value the thing she has because we work hard for it. And when she's small I don't buy her expensive things. We go for thrifted shop for our clothes. She knows how to appreciate small things. Thank you so much!😍
Very well trained 😍
I salute your time management and how you take care of your job and your daughter. Aya is very well mannered and grows to appreciate simple things and understand about money.
Thank you so much! I cannot turn back the time to see her grow. Time management is really important and she appreciate small things. I teaching her now the time management, she's still a kid and much better teach her young. Especially her schedule, after school activities and homeworks.😍
Aya really showed such maturity in that moment and I can imagine how proud you felt as her mom.💕Sometimes, it’s in these ordinary days that the most important lessons are learned, that love, contentment and happiness aren’t about expensive things, but about being together and appreciating the little joys.😍
Thank you so much! She's like me, food is life that makes us happy.😍
Oohh! That’s so cute!😍 She takes after you, food really is a little slice of happiness❤️
Being happy in a simple way is the wisest thing 😍
