Wandering Through Fira Town: A First Sunset Moment In The Island We’ll Cherish Forever.
Hello fellow travelers!. Hope your doing ok.
Finally, our first step on Santorini Island. Our hearts were pounding, my husband was more happy but he was more excited. Because she really wants to come to the most iconic island with the love of his life. And that's me. 😘
The warm Aegean breeze welcomed us and our excitement was overflowing. I'm just dreaming that one day I will visit the island. And now comes to reality. It will not be possible to happened our kids have their school trips. And it falls on my birthday. And then, a week before the kids trip he told me we will go on vacation. It's just you and me. His dream is to bring the love of his life to Santorini and it's my ultimate dream paradise too.
We were finally here and ready to explore the beautiful paradise-Santorini.
When we go out of the plane, we headed outside the airport We headed straight for the local bus and easy to find just outside the airport. The fare was only 2 euros each. Most tourists go by bus and there's assigned time for bus travel. For us travelers, it's not just saving money but it's also a memorable ride.
The bus was comfortable and clean. All the big luggages not allowed to be carried inside. We drove on the narrow and winding road. I saw my first glimpse of the island. And it took a photo of a catchy restaurant named "NO NAME" for sure we will remember it.
The scenery teased me of what more the island will give us. Were in the bus stop and ready to see our hotel. We're walking going uphill. Carrying our own bags along the cobbled paths was full of excitement. We passed by small stores, souvenirs, restaurants, cafes, cars, AVR and motor rentals and more. While walking there are horses coming our way. With the bells of their neck, ringing a good sound to our ears. Walking to the narrow streets led us through the small lanes. Every path we passed revealed another picture-perfect view.
We finally arrived at our cozy villa named Tzekos Villas I thought were there but we need to go by stairs. And I count it all was 90 steps. Imagine going up and down we need to do it everyday. When we go outside so we need to plan what we will do in a day. The simple Greek style with its clean white walls and blue accents and what's more I love about hotel room its the terrace. The view from it was perfect. Its my view everyday. Felt so relaxing and amazed by our nature. So snaps here and there. Its a part of my memories.

After my refreshing shower and were set to explore the town named Fira.
Again walking up the stairs, it's really hiking for us. The weather was fine and sunny day. Seeing those people taking snaps everywhere, walking around the narrowed street I was instantly charmed by the town.
-Church of St. John the Baptist-
Fira town is like a mazed of narrow alleys. Different mazed with its different amazing views. Small shops of galleries, jewelries, souvenirs, colorful magnets, clothes, shoes, café, clubs, restaurants and more.
We stop by in the small food stall. We tried their noodles with honey and it was so good. And then, we continued strolling around Fira Town. Of course it caught my attention. I just do window shopping. And all the shops seemed to offer a little piece of the island to take home.
As we wandered and our tired feet needed to rest. We visited one restaurant named Diosysos in Atlantis. We ordered choco cake and beer for my husband. After a few minutes of resting and enjoying my cake, we continued strolling around the town.
Fira’s town atmosphere shifted and we made to witness the sunset. The town has spectacular views of the caldera. And unending stretches of the deep blue sea. It was so stunning to see the contrast between the white buildings and the sea . The sun set slowly and illuminating the scene with golden glow. Many people and including us are waiting for the epic sunset in the island.

Near our place were standing and in the heart of Fira town. A religious structure named Monastery of Dominican Sisters. I captures photos quickly because of my clothes I'm not allowed to go inside. I was amazed by its interior inside even I saw it so quickly.
More people are looking for their perfect shot to capture the beautiful sunset. I did not feel its more crowded when we visited the place. We just shared the moment and appreciated nature's masterpiece. As the sun shadows night to fall. The sky became an exceptional painting of oranges and light blue. And it added to its exceptional beauty the cruise ship and boats watching over the sunset falls.
The atmosphere was at peace, we're all watching the sun slowly melt into the horizon. I can say the place gave me peace not only me and my husband too. It was a beautiful, peaceful and truly a magical experience. We celebrated when the sun disappeared with cheers and applause. We were mesmerized by the beauty.
After our sunset viewing we had our dinner. Enjoying our food together. When we were ready to go back to our villa. Our night was amazingly beautiful. The sea was calm and the sky turned dark blue. The center of the attraction was the caldera and the cruise ship. The ships give the light at night in the sea. It creates a striking silhouettes the volcanic island. The island's beauty is spectacular. The whitewashed houses radiates a soft glow at night. It sparkled on the island.
That night all I say was thank you to my husband. For the special birthday gift to me. We'd savor the serenity together and let fill our hearts and capture our souls. The island charm was enchanting. Bringing us peace and filling our hearts full of happiness.
That's all for now. Our next chapter for our Santorini adventure I will post soon.
Have an amazing day everyone!.😍
