The Night the World Turned White: A Sweet Simple, Beautiful Night with Aya.

The first snowflakes fell last Saturday night. It always brings a peaceful silence that feels magical. Always the first snow brings a gentle stillness that’s hard to ignore, everything feels calm and fresh. That night, Aya and I stepped outside, we put on our coats and bonnets, curious and excited, we could feel the winter settling around us.

She even forgot to wear her shoes and ran outside wearing only slippers of Tato.

Aya quickly went outside and took a careful first step. A smooth white carpet was waiting for us and the snow on the path was still untouched. The cold air at night gently brushed against my face and was refreshing. Aya lifted her hands toward the sky and said Snow, Mama! Look! Look! And her voice bubbling with pure excitement and innocence.

She didn't mind if she screamed and laughed in the cold night. And her voice echoed beautifully across the quiet surroundings. Watching my Aya, I felt my own excitement rising and I couldn't stop myself from smiling. Experiencing snow was my childhood dream. Now my daughter is completely in love with this season, her winter wonderland experience.

I was taking photos when Aya suddenly started a snow fight! I put my mobile phone in my pocket and the game started. Snow fight!! We enjoyed the simple moment.

The world around us felt slower and softer that night. Everything was beautifully muted and almost sacred. I gave her one last time to enjoy the night. And we need to be healthy in this season. Watching her running, making snow balls and I felt something stir inside me.

A warmth of nostalgia and thankfulness filled my heart. Time is moving faster than I realize and December will already be here.

Our simple experiences become the memories we hold on forever. We walked inside the house because the air grew colder. But we left behind a trail of our footprints. And soon disappear under the growing blanket of snow. Knowing that the snow erased our footprints but the memory wouldn’t fade.

That Saturday night wasn’t grand and it wasn’t planned. But it was simple and perfect. Just Aya and I stepping into winter together. 💞
