Our Favorite Hot Drink Together: Our Sweet Bonding As Mother And Daughter.

Hello everyone! How's your week?! . And I wanted to share our not so fancy but special moments with my daughter.

These past few days I've been busy with work and preparing things for Aya's upcoming recital and school trips. Yes, trips. She's going on special trips this June. After work, we usually meet at mom's apartment. But this time, I went to my daughter's school to pick her up. It was cold Thursday afternoon and the sky was blue but the wind was brisk and not harsh. That time, the weather was perfect for a quiet walk in our town.

Last Thursday, it was calm and not crowded. I really love walking around when the weather is good. People are also enjoying walking around too.

While waiting for her, I walked around the town. Our European countryside town are colorful and charming. They started renovating some parts of it to attract more visitors. There were benches nearby the fountain, which felt more peaceful. But sometimes, I love a simple, quiet day and I found simple joy for it.

Aya finally finished her singing and I told her we will meet in the fountain. She came and I invited her that I'm craving for hot chocolate especially when the weather is cold. Of course she cannot resist it. We both loved chocolates. We went into our favorite coffee shop named the Vikings. She talked to the lady and ordered 2 hot chocolates.

While waiting I took photos for her. Enjoying our simple company with our favorite hot choco. And Thursday hot chocolate drink was my treat.

Then came Friday—Aya's school trip day. While it's my typical day of work, I was already excited to hear about her adventure.

Later that day, I received a message from Aya that she was at school. I told her I’d come pick her up since I also needed to pay for her upcoming trip. Then When we met in her classroom, she greeted me with a happy smile and said, “Mama, I’ll treat you! Let’s have some hot chocolate in the same place.

I asked if she had money. She said yes—Babi (her grandma) gave her 5 euro. Of course I said yes. It's my daughter's treat and I love hot chocolate.

At the Vikings café, we ordered our usual. As we waited, Aya happily shared to me all about her trip—her friends, the fun activities, everything. I listened closely to Aya while sipping my hot chocolate, I saw her eyes sparkled and happy voice.

And that moment it was so special to me and I'll always keep it in my heart.

And it was time for her to pay, the total was €6.70—but Aya only had €5.80. She looked a bit worried and asked, “Mama, can I borrow some money?” Then I said, count your money again. I teased her and said, “Oh no, you might have to wash the dishes!” We laughed, and I gave her the extra €1. And then we can go home.

Our little adventure comes to an end as were walking hand in hand going to the bus station. I felt a deep sense of gratitude. It was a simple afternoon together but full of warmth, laughter, and love.

Our life can get busy. We have different responsibilities, routine, endless errands and to-do lists to do everyday. But this time reminded me to have a special bonding with my daughter. Being present with her and giving time is the most meaningful gift I can give to her. Nothing can steal our moments together.

Our bonding is not always my plan. Sometimes unexpected things will be more meaningful. I want to make more bonding moments with you Aya. Even drink our have hot chocolate and walking that's more than enough
