Ending our First Day Trip in Valletta, Malta. Another Church Visit to St. Paul's Shipwreck Church- Rich in History, Beauty and Faith.

Afterwards my family enjoyed the breathtaking views of the Grand Harbour and had a wonderful time. St. Paul's Shipwreck Church was our next destination. And was one of Malta's historical and religious landmarks.
Quick Facts about the church:
1.Dedicated to Saint Paul the Apostle is considered the spiritual father of the Maltese.
2.Around AD 60, when he was sailing to Rome as a prisoner. According to the New Testament of Acts 28:1 marks the beginning of Paul's shipwrecked arrival on the island of Malta. The verse states: "Once safely on shore, we found out that the island was called Malta”
3.Built in 1570, one of the oldest and famous Baroque style church in Malta.
The stunning Baroque church is located in the heart of Valletta. Surrounded by narrow streets filled with charming old buildings with bright colored windows, balconies, small cafés and shops.

That time we visited the exterior part of the church was under renovation.

Even with the large wooden entrance door I can describe for now, I could feel that this was more than just another attraction. The entrance doors were dark, tall and carved with old details. The sword with an open book or bible on one side designed on the glass.
The atmosphere changed completely as soon as we stepped inside. The church is currently under renovation on the outside, but the interior is absolutely stunning.

I was genuinely blown away by its details, history and art. And you could feel the faith seems to live on every corner. A must visít in Valletta and it's completely free. But make sure to check the schedule before going there.

Because the interior design caught my attention and I didn't know where to focus. The marble floor shines inside and is made of different colors-black, white, deep red and gold. Arranged in detailed patterns and carved into Latin words.

When I slowly looked up at the ceiling, it was such an incredible masterpiece. Every detail shows how much passion, love and dedication went to paint into the remarkable church.
The ceiling was a masterpiece. Above us told stories from the Bible. With vibrant paintings and delicate gold accents giving the whole church a sense of majesty.

The most striking feature inside the church is the grand main altar. Those gold accents, marbles, religious statues and tall white candles around it in crystal holders is pure Baroque drama.
Some people quietly sat in the pews and prayed. And others are visitors simply appreciating the church.

We took our time walking around, observing the artwork and appreciating it. We also lit a candle and prayed .
We still have time and we decided to stay longer. I sat quietly together with kids and husband and I found myself reflecting on our journey. Together we pray inside the church was a blessing. Blessing that we traveled together and gives us a chance to see famous and unforgettable moments.
I felt a sense of peace inside the church. And it reminds me to slow down, enjoy the moments with my family and be grateful.

After spending our time inside the church, we continued walking through the streets of Valletta. The narrowed streets filled with folded tables, chairs and folded umbrellas. People are coming for some food trips and drinks.

After a day trip, it was finally dinner time. Even with the food we can't decide which one. Everytime we passed by the restaurant, it looked delicious. Finally, we found a restaurant named Pescebuono.

Eating dinner in Valletta was different. The street sloped gently in narrow streets, old buildings and balconies all around us.
We had seafood for dinner and the special meal became the perfect ending to another unforgettable day in Valletta.
After that we walked straight to our apartment. Done our day adventure and ready to recharge for more adventures.
Our first day in Valletta feels like a dream. We're so happy that this visit became another chapter in our family journey. I will always remember whenever I think about our unforgettable adventure in this beautiful island of Malta.
