Aya's Summer Experience at Ecofarm: New Learning Experience, Wonderful Adventure Creating Beautiful Fun Memories and Nature in Veľký Lél.

Summer is one of the most exciting and favorite season for children. For Aya is freedom, time to enjoy, have fun with friends, rest from school and discover new things.

Today is the beginning for the Aya's summer camp at Ostrov Ecofarm in Veľký Lél. She waited for this day to come and we couldn't be happier for her. The camp will last until Thursday. A few days in the summer camp will be the most unforgettable memories for her.

Aya's class adviser told them about the summer camp. She came home so happy and told me everything. I asked if she liked going to the camp and she said yes right away. Aya also mentioned that most of her classmates don’t want to join. I’m happy for my girl for choosing to experience it and I'm so proud of her for being brave.

One of the reasons we grabbed this opportunity was because the camp is completely “FREE”.

It is fully covered including the following.

• food (breakfast, snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner)
• accommodation at the Ostrov Ecofarm.
• Twice lessons in riding and horse care.
• Boat trip and excursion around the island by carriage.
• Cooking lesson for children with chef Michal Kordoš.
• Games, workshops and lessons.
• There will be a barbecue, disco or movie night with pizza.

In addition to lessons and excursions, children will have a program right on the farm. Where the kids will learn and experience animal care firsthand. They will also interact with experts in the field of ecology and nature conservation.

As soon as we reached Ostrov Ecofarm, we were the first ones there. The place is so peaceful, just like back home in our village in Patince. The quiet mornings and green surroundings were instantly stuck.

Ostrov Ecofarm, Veľký Lél is surrounded by wide open fields, beautiful old trees, and fresh countryside air. Everything felt calm and relaxing and it's the perfect place for children to connect with nature.

Because we arrived early, we decided to explore the area. Walking around the eco farm, we saw picnic areas where everyone could relax.

Aya was so happy, seeing the storks nesting high on the wooden poles made her smile. Watching these beautiful storks quietly guarding their nest reminded me how protected the area was.

We continue walking around the place, there is a cycling area, places for horses and donkeys too.

After that, we also crossed Mahuliena's Bridge. It is a place with an interesting history. There's an information board that
explained how this beautiful place became part of the filming location for the Slovak fairy tale movie Mahuliena, Golden Maiden.

The film is a co-production Slovak-German film. It is a 1987 adventure fantasy film and the story is based on the fairy tale Faithful John by the Brothers Grimm. The peaceful place of Veľký Lél carries a piece of Slovak Cultural History.

Finally we arrived at the Danube River. It's really alarming to see the water level is getting low. The place was so peaceful and relaxing. And the blue sky reflected the calm water, gentle breeze, birds chirping, and the sound of the flowing river was so relaxing. We had our few minutes to enjoy the surroundings, breathe deeply and appreciate the beauty of nature.

Then we decided to go back to the ecofarm. It was like we're having a nature trip too.

From afar, we saw some kids and parents waiting in the area. My husband got Aya's bag and put in their accomodation.

As a mother, leaving Aya at the camp brought mixed emotions. I will miss her for the next few days but I am also excited for new experiences in the ecofarm. A new adventure helps her become more independent and confident.

Before we left , I gave Aya a big hug and lots of kisses. I told her to enjoy the camp and I can’t wait to hear all her camp stories later. I know this camp will give her memories she’ll keep forever.

This summer camp at Ostrov Ecofarm is a special opportunity that teaches Aya valuable lessons in life while allowing them to have fun.

I am looking forward to Thursday when I can hear all of Aya's stories. Her adventure in Veľký Léi is one of her happiest highlights this summer.
