Happy new year.

Hello hive friends, today I am writing after some time and I take this opportunity to wish you all a happy new year full of good things, I hope you had happy end-of-year holidays. I must comment that I am very happy after spending the end of the year with part of my family in a province in the interior of my country.

My trip began at the Havana bus terminal and more than 10 hours passed until I arrived at the place where my mother was born, Minas in Camagüey.

I received a lot of love from my family when I arrived and it was taking a bath, changing my travel clothes, eating something and going out to visit my family members who live relatively close so I took the opportunity to show them a little about the little town.

In Cuba it is part of the tradition to wait for the new year with a roasted pig and at 10 or 11 in the morning most of my uncles and cousins already had the preparations to eat a delicious roast pork at night. It is beautiful to see those large families gathered together, all sharing traditionally on these dates. I am not used to this since my closest family only consists of 4 people and seeing that I have so many relatives makes me feel happy. Little children make jokes and all run around non-stop, teenagers get together and share music, talk about their boyfriends or girlfriends, and adults are in charge of preparing food for everyone and remembering previous years while making jokes. , drink a drink with alcohol and scold the children who play incessantly.

I laughed a lot at the stories of my great-grandmother and my aunts and uncles, I danced with my cousins until fatigue took over me and I was the reason for the ridicule of my cousins who found me sleeping and made me a victim of their evils.

These people live in a very humble way in terms of the basic comforts that I am used to having in the city, some still consume water from the wells in their patios and have latrines outside their houses as bathrooms and although their economic conditions They allow you to move to have better conditions and prefer not to do so for the moment. They are happy people who care for and help each other with hearts with abundant love to give to others and very easy to love. Since the family is very large, they had parties in 4 houses and they visited each other throughout the day and wished each other a happy new year. They were very nice moments to see.

These are the hands of my 93-year-old great-grandmother, my mother and mine, my family is very flirtatious and it is something that everyone inherited except my mother and me, although they forced us to fix our hands to wait for the new year all with pretty hands.

They were two very fun days for me despite the 20 hours I spent traveling.
