RE: I'm a beginner, so what?

I am not a photographer, but I love photography and I have been shooting for almost a decade now. I looooove your work and I have seen many amateur (or new) photographers shooting much better than renowed one. School cannot teach you how to have the eye for shooting and to frame your environment.

Having said that, talent is unique and you either own it or not, BUT - only when I started learning photography, I started understanding basic things about light, exposure, gear, moments, composition etc. It does not matter if you follow your own rules, you should. But you got to know the history, the story and the evolution of it...
