My first virtual photo-gallery

(Edited)

My first virtual gallery is finally a fact!

It turns out that it takes much more work than I expected to create a gallery. Even if it is just virtual, there is a lot of planning and selecting to do.

I am not finished yet, but I was eager to show it to you so that I can also happily receive your feedback.

I tried out several platforms, but I found the best looking and closest to what I was looking for (for now) to be offered by https://www.artsteps.com

Additionally, it offers a free version of (I think) unlimited galleries so it is really good to try it out first before I understand if I wish to jump in the paid versions.

Here is the link to my gallery named Nature Paused https://www.artsteps.com/view/68318678848e9e985f4a9b85

Before you proceed and click, check out some of my tips below

When you get in the link, take sometime to click on the instructions (i) and see how you can move around. Clicking on the settings, you can change the quality from low-normal-high (if you leave it as is, its still ok)

There is no sound for now.

You can wonder through the space (Two exhibition rooms) and click on the photos to see more details on them. You do not need to click the photos, you can just wander around.

The goal was to showcase some of my images, I have separated the first space between Nature & Ocean - Clouds (on the left) and Creatures, Colors (to the right)

Getting in the other room, you get to see some sunsets and also some creatures (spiders) that if you are afraid to look, you can simply not get in the room (they are located on the second room, right side

It has taken me two days to create this and it is still not ready, as I was trying to find the way to place the photos and to take care of some extra details on how they would look good.

This is how my dashboard looks like

You can like, follow and even chat in an exhibition, but you will need an account to do that.

When you click create, you may create your own 3d space, use their own prebuilt (free) space or buy one from the marketplace: https://www.artsteps.com/marketplace that starts at 50 euros for the cheapest one.

With the free version you cannot put hyperlinks, but this is possible when you use a paid version.

I think that If someone is selling, then the prices for creating your own spaces are not too high.

Some issues that I found (but maybe I need to search more) is how to put my images at folders, how can someone visit a creators profile when looking the exhibition through a mobile phone and if it would be possible to download an automatic pdf with the images, text in them.

I will further research possibilities and develop this space more, maybe I will even suggest it for specific exhibitions that take place.

I would be very interested to know your thoughts on it!

it's pretty good as a gallery, i mean for a showcase is good, its just annoying do a lot of "steps" when clicking, on google maps is handled better the navigation... but besides that its good, photos still looks good there

You have to work hard to make everything, but considering the time, you have made many more beautiful things.
