My first photos with my first real camera!

And yes, I am proud to show you my first images by my first camera.

But please note that these are taken while testing it still, as it will take some time to know how to operate it sufficiently. Every one of these photos has many many more that I considered failed so please dont look at the composition so much, they are the ones that seemed a little bit not worse, so that I could at least share.

I am also looking of ways to be able to edit the photos, i see that light room on desctop is not available at all unless you put on a valid payment method so I am trying to see the best way to edit (for now, as maybe in the future I will pay for subscription - lightroom I know is one of the best)

I planned to shoot something else, but then I saw this little creature climbing over and I thought, how can I not capture this?

IMG_0127.JPG

Here I was trying the landscape photography and I liked this frame, even thought it has lots of negative space.

IMG_0089.JPG

Here it is a pillow that has been lying there for a few years now, I was looking of a way to shoot it and capture it for eternity, but I think that some editing is needed and maybe to add something alive in the scene, like a flower? Not sure yet - or maybe wait for a cat to go sit there :) We will see

IMG_0134.JPG

This shot was with the 50mm lens and even thought I tried different angles and variations I do not like the other photos so much. I think I will need to take them again, perhaps in a morning light.

Something I like about having a camera is that you can go as low as possible and still have a good idea about what you are shooting, while it is not so easy to do it with the phone if you keep it horizontally..

IMG_0108.JPG

Trying out the night light reflections. This is the only attempt that is a little lookable, while all others are totally failed.

This sunset is for my friend Davide, I think it will be enjoyable :)

In short:
I got me a Canon camera, with only one lens the 24-50mm.
I like the crispness I love the images and the possibilities.
But there are somethings that I still have not got (such as cleaning kit, a camera bag, a tripod, a tele and/or macro lens) so I still feel very primitive. This and also the fact that I got a lot to learn about how to use it the best possible way (still have not read the manual)

Tomorrow I will probably go to shoot a friend and her baby and I plan to use both the camera and my phone so if you have any tips, please let me know :))

(This will not be paid, of course!)

Congrats on your new Canon camera. 🎉 Wish you to use it always like you did for these very first but very magnificent photos. 😍

I think that the image could not be uploaded, I will need to reupload (but maybe make a new image first)
Thanks so much :)
You live in Italy, right?

Lovely shots! Photographing with a 'real' camera is really different then making smartphone shots.

You can use the free, Open Source TheGimp for photo editing. There are loads of tutorials on how to use it on YT.

There is a big difference between taking pictures with a camera and a mobile phone. The result of the camera is quite good, as each of your pictures is now clear and looks beautiful.
