Algo que me gusta mucho de mi hogar es el jardín. A mi mamá le apasionan las flores del jardín, es por ello que le gusta mantenerlas hermosas y saludables. Adora, adora cada una de sus plantas y verlas florecer es su mayor satisfacción y por supuesto, que toda la familia disfruta de ello.

Para ella no hay distinción al dedicarles cuidado y atención, pero sus niñas consentidas sin duda alguna son sus matas de orquídeas. Hasta este momento tiene varias especies de los siguientes colores: blanco, amarillo y morado.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una de las recetas que utiliza mi mamá para mantener sus orquídeas bellas y que ayudan a su crecimiento y a estimular el proceso de floración y las flores se mantengan por mucho más tiempo. Mientras la ayudaba, ella me enseñó este tip que quiero compartir con ustedes.

Es un abono casero rico en calcio, potasio y fósforo que obtiene de la semilla o pepa del aguacate y de las conchas de huevos, que pueden usar no solo con las orquídeas con cualquier planta del jardín, incluyendo las plantas ornamentales del interior de sus casas.

Para la preparación de este abono o fertilizante comenzamos con la recolección de la semilla de aguacate y conchas de huevos.

Luego, utilizando un rallador de cocina, rallamos la pepa de aguacate.

Las conchas de huevos las trituramos hasta obtener un polvo.

Listo con estos pasos se coloca agua en un tobo o envase, se agrega la ralladura de semilla de aguacate y la concha de huevos revolviendo muy bien, se deja un rato en remojo y luego se coloca a las plantas, sin exceder la cantidad de agua para evitar que se pudra sus raíces y bulbos.

Esta es una de las formas naturales que mi mamá cuida a sus orquídeas, además les brinda mucho cariño, se esmera en su cuidado y a veces he escuchado hablarle y hasta regañarles cuando se tardan para florecer. Me alegra aprender con ella y poder compartir este aprendizaje con ustedes, para que cuiden sus plantas, ya que ellas le dan vida y un ambiente especial al hogar.
