A Sunset Escape into Nature
Hey Everyone!!
After spending a blazing hot day indoors, the idea of stepping out felt exhausting—until the sun began to set and a gentle breeze made its way in. It was then that I, along with a friend, decided to head to one of the most peaceful places in the city: Janeshwar Mishra Park. And believe me, it was one of the best decisions of the day.
This park isn’t just any regular green space—it’s vast, rich in greenery, and offers a sanctuary-like environment in the middle of the city’s chaos. Even though it’s not very close to where I live, I still try to visit whenever I get the chance. The entrance fee is just ₹15 per person, and for that tiny amount, you get to step into a space that feels worlds apart—full of fresh air, chirping birds, and the calming scent of trees and flowers.
As soon as we entered, the park embraced us with its lush surroundings. The jogging and walking tracks are painted a deep red, lined with trees on both sides, and shaded enough to make your walk refreshing. There’s also an open gym, a play area for kids, and dedicated zones for cycling and skating. We brought along snacks and a badminton set, and spent hours playing, strolling, and just soaking in the environment.
One of the most mesmerizing parts of the park is its artificial lake, complete with fountains that light up as the sun goes down. The reflection of the sunset on the rippling water is magical—like a painting that keeps changing shades. We spent quite some time sitting by the lake, just admiring the view, clicking pictures, and chatting.
As the evening turned into night, the lamps lit up, and the park transformed into an even more enchanting space. The gentle hum of water fountains, the distant laughter of kids, and the occasional rustle of the trees made us forget about the city we had come from just a few hours ago.
We ended the day with hearts full of peace and cameras full of memories. If Janeshwar Mishra Park were closer to my place, I would be visiting it almost every day. It’s not just a park—it’s a gentle reminder of how nature can heal, refresh, and reconnect us with ourselves.
Hope you enjoy the pictures I captured during this short yet meaningful escape. Until next time, breathe easy and stay close to green. 🌿
