A Small Flower Photography

Today I'm sharing some of the photographs of a tiny little flower growing in my terrace garden. This flower is from the variety of Moss Rose plant which blooms only in the sunshine. As soon as the sun starts to set, it shrinks its petals again.

This flower can amaze you easily. When you see it at night it looks normal without much buds or flower but in the morning you will find that the whole plant is covered with multiple flowers. The life of the flower of this plant is not very long. What I noticed is that it only bloom for 2 days and then falls from the plant.

Earlier I used to have its different varieties. I had one of the variety in which the flower did't have the seperate petals but all attached to one another covering the whole flower. I had bought many different colours of that variety.

If you want to buy it's plant, then it's so cheap. Because this flower is so easy to grow that even a broken stem cutting of this plant can give you a whole pot covered with that plant. If you take a long stem, break it into multiple pieces, grow them in a pot then in a month you will not found any empty space in that pot. This plant is very spreading in nature. It easily gets root bound in just two months if the pot is small and you have to again and again re-grow it after removing the extra leaves.

I like this one variety even more over the one I'm talking about because of its little petals structure. I am willing to bring more colour varities of this plant. I have seen people usually growing them in a hanging pot and hanging them all around the terrace railing or on the side wall of the main door. These are very low maintenance plants but give a beautiful look to your house.

In my terrace garden, these are just growing in a pot, kept at the corner of the terrace. I don't want the same color plant covering all my pots that's why I'm only growing it in one pot. These are the picture from that one pot. Hope you will like my shots.
