Your flower pictures are always so beautiful and I'm sure that next year will be an amazing success for you! Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a great day! @karenb54

Beautiful pictures Karen! Begonias are lovely flowers... we just have so many free roaming deer around here, and they evidently think begonias are a delicacy, so we've given up on that... except in pots on our upstairs terrace.

Good for you for being so organized!

I keep threatening to create a rainbow garden. We have fake rainbow flowers in a hanging basket at front of our door and have orange crocosmia and a yellow gladioli type thing in the back garden. I really have no idea what flowers when, so will have to read up and take lessons from you. Maybe next year we will add another couple of colours.

Excellent work dear friend @ karenb54, a humble opinion not to suffer these consequences, mada make an iron structure and put a half shadow these will protect you from the rains and the days of sunshine, I am working on that for the garden that I'm harping, I hope my comment is useful
Have a great day

hi karen, depends on the type of impatients, some die off and come back. My ones don't seem to die off.

That's one nice thing about posting to a blog, too. It gets us to take photos - and then we have those photos as references. It's so easy to forget what actually happened. It looks like your flowers are doing really well. Maybe next year, you might try a plant that would cascade over the sides of your half-moon planters -- like a trailing nasturtium. You could even eat those! :D

You're welcome. Nasturtiums should like your climate, too. There are so many plants to try in our gardens! :D

There was a nice post about Nasturtiums by @sardrt last week. They aren't the trailing kind, but you can see how their flowers and leaves are, and there's a nice picture of them growing on a hillside.

Lovely flowers, I really, really want to get a flower garden going, but I never seem to find the time for it! It will probably happen once the kids are on their own :)

Try doing 1 pot at a time, the kids could get involved :)

I'm so glad I found you on here! I am trying to figure out what to grow in my garden and I love your suggestions. My neighbor has the most beautiful red begonias - and I'm inspired to plant some at my house next year. Thanks lady!

Yeah, I love also that they seem to come in so many colors. I have a lot of squirrels and rabbits - do you have trouble with the critters eating your beautiful flowers?
