Night Cityscape With Noctilucent Clouds

One July night, while comfortably sitting in front of the TV and watching Netflix, I heard news of the appearance of beautiful noctilucent clouds on the northern horizon. Without a second thought, I grabbed my camera and tripod and ran out of the apartment. I found a suitable spot with a clear view to the north and started taking photos.

It was a special moment for me, as these were the first noctilucent clouds I'd managed to photograph. Moreover, they were some of the strongest this year! I stood there taking photos for an hour and a half before returning to the apartment. I sat there and waited to see how the situation would develop. The clouds appear about an hour and a half after sunset and similarly before sunrise. So I waited to see if they would also appear in the morning, and they did. So, I spent the entire night watching for the noctilucent clouds, but it was worth it. See for yourself :)

Pewnej lipcowej nocy siedząc wygodnie przed ekranem TV i oglądając Netflixa, dotarła do mnie informacja o pojawieniu się przepięknych obłoków srebrzystych na północnym horyzoncie. Bez namysłu zabrałem aparat i statyw i wybiegłem z mieszkania. Znalazłem odpowiednie miejsce z czystym widokiem na północ i zabrałem się za robienie zdjęć.

Był to dla mnie wyjątkowy moment, gdyż były to moje pierwsze NLC, jakie udało się sfotografować. W dodatku były to jedne z najsilniejszych w tym roku! Stałem i robiłem zdjęcia przez 1,5 godziny po czym wróciłem do mieszkania. Siedziałem jeszcze i czekałem jak sytuacja będzie się rozwijać. Obłoki pojawiają się około 1,5h po zachodzie słońca i podobnie przed wschodem. Czekałem więc czy zaświecą także nad ranem i tak też się stało. Cała noc więc zleciała na wypatrywaniu NLC, ale było warto. Zobaczcie sami :)
