Lago Di Misurina - Beautiful Lake In Dolomites Surrounded by High Peaks

Yesterday, I was reminded of my trip to the Dolomites in 2022. But the memories didn't stop there. I found the folders with photos from that trip and spent quite a while looking at them, reminiscing about the magnificent landscapes of some of the most beautiful mountains in Europe. Along the way, I selected a few photos that I'd like to share with you today.

Lake Misurina is a lake located at an altitude of 1,754 meters above sea level. It is located southwest of the Tre Cime Natural Park, in southeastern part of the Dolomites, in the commune of Auronzo di Cadore in province of Beluno and is the largest lake in this commune. There are numerous hotels and restaurants around the lake. A walking trail, "Vista sul Lago di Misurina dal sentiero escursionistico," runs along its eastern shore. A visit to the lake can be combined with hiking around Tre Cime di Lavaredo, as was the case during my visit. The SS48 national road runs alongside the lake, connecting with the SS48 national road from Cortina d'Ampezzo. Wczoraj przypomniał mi się mój wyjazd w Dolomity w 2022 roku. Na samych wspomnieniach się jednak nie skończyło. Odszukałem foldery ze zdjęciami z tego wyjazdu i dość długo je oglądałem wspominając te wspaniałe krajobrazy jednych z najpiękniejszych gór Europy. Przy okazji wybrałem kilka zdjęć, którymi chciałbym się z wami dzisiaj podzielić.

Jezioro Misurina jest jeziorem leżącym na wysokości 1754 m. n.p.m. Na mapie umiejscowione jest na południowy zachód od parku naturalnego Tre Cime, w południowo-wschodniej części Dolomitów. Znajduje się w gminnie Auronzo di Cadore w prowincji Beluno i jest największym jeziorem tej gminy. Wokół jezioro znajduje się sporo hoteli i restauracji. Wzdłuż wschodniego brzegu jezioro biegnie ścieżka spacerowa "Vista sul Lago di Misurina dal sentiero escursionistico".
Wizytę nad jeziorem można połączyć np. z trekkingiem wokół Tre Cime Di Lavaredo, jak miało to miejsce podczas mojej wizyty. Przy jeziorze biegnie droga nr. SS48, która łączy się z biegnącą od Cortiny d'Ampezzo SS48. (Informacje posiadam głownie z własnej analizy map w tym google maps i w niewielkim stopniu zostały uzupełnione/skorygowane z wykorzystaniem wikipedi)

I arrived at the lake early in the morning with my wife. The main purpose of our visit was to eat breakfast before trekking around the "Three Sisters," which I'll write about another time. We had already explored the area (we'd been there longer the day before, but the photographic conditions were much worse then), so we didn't spend much time on it this time. However, I took advantage of the opportunity to photograph these landscapes in the morning light and spent about 30 minutes doing so.

Pojawiłem się nad jeziorem wcześnie rano wraz z żoną. Głównym celem naszej wizyty było zjedzenie śniadania przed wspomnianym wyżej trekkingiem wokół "Trzech Sióstr", o którym napiszę kiedy indziej. Zwiedzanie okolic mieliśmy już za sobą (byliśmy tu dłużej dzień wcześniej jednak wtedy warunki fotograficzne były znacznie gorsze), dlatego nie poświęcaliśmy na to zbyt wiele czasu tym razem. Wykorzystałem jednak możliwość fotografowania tych krajobrazów przy porannym świetle i poświeciłem na tę możliwość około 30 min.

There are many peaks rising above the lake. Some of them were bathed in the morning sun, which I really appreciated.

Nad jeziorem wznosi się sporo szczytów. Część z nich skąpana była w świetle porannego słońca, co bardzo mi się podobało.

The peaks I saw from this perspective seemed to reach all the way to the sky. I could feel the vastness and power of these magnificent Italian mountains.

Szczyty, które widziałem z tej perspektywy zdawały się sięgać aż do nieba. Czuć było ogrom i potęgę tych wspaniałych włoskich gór.

As a curiosity, the Dolomites, or rather part of them (South Tyrol), once belonged to Austria. Many descendants of the former owners still live in these regions, and this is evident in the architecture. While Lake Missurina isn't located in Tyrol, it is close to its border.

Jako ciekawostkę podam, że Dolomity a właściwie ich część (Południowy Tyrol), należały niegdyś do Austrii. W tych regionach wciąż mieszka sporo potomków dawnych właścicieli tych ziem i czuć to choćby po architekturze. Jezioro Missurina co prawda nie leży w Tyrolu, ale nieopodal jego granicy.

The shot above is my favorite from this morning. I used the boats moored in a row to create a very satisfying foreground, adding a bit of variety to this often-photographed scene.

Kadr powyżej, to moje ulubione zdjęcie z tego poranka. Wykorzystałęm łódki przycumowane w rzędzie do stworzenia bardzo satysfakcjonującego pierwszego planu, żeby jakoś urozmaicić te bardzo często fotografowaną scenerię.

It's a view of the hotels against the backdrop of the magnificent Cadini di Missurina mountain range, bathed in a beautiful light. I couldn't get enough of the view. And the range itself is even more impressive when viewed from above... More on that in the post about Tre Cime di Laverado, or perhaps in a separate one, as it deserves its own.

Jest to widok hoteli na tle cudownego masywu górskiego Cadini di Missurina, który skąpany był wtedy w przepięknym świetle. Nie mogłem się napatrzyć na ten widok. A sam masyw jeszcze większe wrażenie robi oglądany z... O tym w poście o Tre Cime di Laverado, lub być może jeszcze osobnym, bo wart jest oddzielnego.
