W piątek dość niespodziewanie wypadło mi kilka załatwień poza domem. Uzbierało się tego tyle, że właściwie większość dnia spędziłem na tych załatwieniach. Jedno z nich wymagało użycia aparatu, więc miałem go ze sobą w samochodzie.

Przez cały piątkowy dzień pogoda się przeplatała — słońce, przelotne opady i dość dynamiczne zachmurzenie z krótkimi epizodami deszczu. I już od około południa miałem w głowie, że późnym popołudniem może się z tego urodzić dobry warun. Nie myliłem się.

Wracałem do domu, ale nie zamierzałem jechać tam prosto. Mam jedną taką swoją miejscówkę w okolicy, gdzie jeżdżę głównie na astrofotografię. Postanowiłem jednak tym razem popełnić tam dzienną krajobrazówkę i wykorzystać kreujące się naprawdę dobre warunki. Na okazję fotografowania takich chmur czekałem długo. Bardzo długo. Absolutnie wyborne promienie strzelały wysoko w atmosferę spoza rozległej chmury, która przez większość czasu zakrywała słońce.

POLISH LANDSCAPES AND NATURE #13

On Friday, I had a few unexpected errands outside the house. So many things piled up that I actually spent most of the day running errands. One of them required the use of my camera, so I had it with me in the car.

The weather alternated throughout Friday—sunny, scattered showers, and rather dynamic cloud cover with brief spells of rain. And from around noon, I had it in my head that this might make for good photography conditions by late afternoon. I wasn't wrong.

I was heading home, but I didn't intend to head straight there. I have a spot like that nearby, where I go mainly for astrophotography. However, this time I decided to take a daytime landscape shot there and take advantage of the truly excellent conditions. I'd been waiting for the opportunity to photograph clouds like these for a long time. A very long time. Absolutely exquisite rays shot high into the atmosphere from behind the cloud that obscured the sun most of the time.
