✍️ Study Time With Nutsara 👶& ChairWoman Meow Achieves New Heights 😼

Nutsara developed her own version of the Khmer alphabet after her grandma gave her a pen, and she also inked herself in the process.

     While I do computer work Meow is usually is seated on my lap keeping me warm and entertained. When she is in hunting mode her ears perk up and her eyes dilate, usually happening more often at night than during the day. On this afternoon I happen to have my phone in hand when she heard a gecko sound and entered killer mode.

     When she went to the doorway to scan the horizon for living food, I followed and took some pictures from behind to provide a view of the world through Meow's eyes. Just as I snapped the pic, Nutsara and her grandma appeared for a visit.

👯 Study Buddies

     Nutsara entered Monkey-B's room and immediately began giving advice on how to study. After all, I'd just come from her house about an hour earlier, and the the thumbnail in this photo is a shot of her going wild with a pen at her grandma's place. Other than keeping her fed, the grandma doesn't give her much guidance or watching over, so she relishes in the one-on-one attention she gets when she visits us.

     We do our best to teach her manners and other things when she visits, but she's already showing signs of neglect at home. Just like her grandma, she shouts loudly when she wants to communicate, interrupting anyone who happens to be talking. I hope she doesn't end up too much like her parents, grandparents, or brother, but it's hard not to be a product of your environment. In the nearly two years I've known her grandma, the woman has only let me finish about 5 sentences, so I'm not exactly hopeful.

😼 New Heights For Meow

     After Nutsara and her Grandma left, Meow was still in berserker mode, so I helped her do something she has wanted to do for far too long, explore new higher in-house territory. I had to do a bit of climbing to put her on top of the wall, but she was ecstatic and explored for 30 minutes. I thought she would need assistance getting down, but she took a wild leap without warning and landed softly without injury in true cat style. And then the family in the mountains lived happily ever after....
