Social decay comes in many forms. There is a bit of fish in the river, particular the fish used in the tourist "fish massage" tanks, the little fish that pluck dead skin off your feet. Apparently these fish are good to eat, at least the local soldiers all catch and eat them. We are vegan, so we don't eat the fish, but I guess the fish do eat us a little each time we swim ๐.

Ohh. Now I know. That's why you never talked about fishing even though you are very close to the river. ๐
Maybe you can let them clean your feet why you work on the computer. Just don't don't overdo it or you might look down and then noticed that your whole feet is gone. LOL. ๐
Haha, now I'm having flashbacks of Suriname where the resorts on the river has crocodile-proof swimming fences, and hungry piranhas occasionally take a bite or two. I guess the massage fish are a lot less threatening than the dangers of the Amazon.
LOL. I only saw a crocodile once in real life. I don't know if I would ever see a piranha in real life though.
Suriname was wild, even urban canals were full of caimans, basically mini crocs. There was one occasion Monkey-B and I were wading in knee-deep water collecting water lilies for lunch, and out of the corner of my eye a caiman launched into the water right next to us. We scared him just as much as he scared us.
That must be a really scary experience. I might have a trouble sleeping for days if I am to experience that. Good thing it did not attack any of you.
