๐Ÿช„ Disappearing Durian, Fried Rice, & ChairWoman Meow's Seaweed Obsession ๐Ÿ˜ผ

Durian fruit doesn't last long in our household, disappearing about as fast as ChairWoman Meow devours a bowl of seaweed.

๐Ÿš Post-Dinner Photos

ย  ย  ย I have been meaning to make a recipe post for quite a while, but every time I cook I am usually so rushed that I never think about photos. Lately I haven't even had a chance to think about making a post until after 10:30pm. All of my future posts are likely to have photos taken at night , not ideal, but I want to keep blogging, so this is my only option. I made two batches of fried rice for the family and our guest, but was interrupted while stir-frying and forgot to add the fried tofu. I threw the tofu on top as an afterthought.

๐Ÿ‘ฎ The Seaweed Protector

ย  ย  ย Meow is known to be a little protective of her seaweed snacks. This 50 cents per day habit is luckily a healthy one, and I am thankful my cat doesn't drink or smoke like most kitties. Last night my daughter asked me if I invented the name ChairWoman Meow, and I could only say that I had only ever heard ChairMan Meow for male communist kitties. A quick google images search revealed that our kitty almost solely owns the title ChairWoman Meow, so I feel very honored.

ย  ย  ย This little furball means a lot to me, and she seems to know I am overworked and underslept, always giving me lots of cuddles and good vibes. In turn I let her take over my private workspace, something that seems to satisfy this proletari(c)at. I may or may occasionally squeeze her paws while I do ASEAN Hive work, and she leaves them dangling in the air for easy access.

๐ŸŽข New Heights

vfbgnh.png

ย  ย  ย Meow and I's favorite after midnight activity involves me placing her on top of the wall so she can hunt for "wall meat." It seems the geckos in our house have wisened up and learned not to eat their own smaller "wall meat" because there is a new furry sheriff in town. There is a slight increase in mosquito numbers, but it's hardly noticeable. The upside is that far fewer gecko turds rain down from above, landing in places like my hair, cup of coffee, keyboard, and just about any other surface an indoor aerial bomb can reach. Thank you ChairWoman Meow for halving the aerial gecko turd numbers, and thank you all for reading.

Ahhhh... Now I know why they named after coingecko ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ it was all about "air drop"!

My house has 4 person, 3 of us are durian ghosts. Me and the home minister, our record was 7 fruits(not small size, the least size of my head) for dinner ๐Ÿคฃ

That is a serious durian party. I hope nobody used the leftover shells as weapons of mass destruction. My worst ASEAN fear is to be killed by a speeding durian fruit.

Haha, Meow has learned the distinct sound of the splat a gecko makes when landing perfectly flat after falling from the rafters. They usually require 30 seconds of rest before moving again, but if Meow finds them before they evacuate the tile floor, "wall meat" is now "floor meat."

Awe... The cat is very cute, Is that the kind of style when wants to sleep? ๐Ÿคฃ Durian Fruit is also very popular here in the Philippines particularly in Davao Region.

She sleeps in the strangest of positions, but when she lays on her back it is impossible for me to move. I stay still because she looks so happy and peaceful.

Did you always like durian or did it take some getting used to? I have tried many times to get into it because as you know it is massively popular o'er in these parts. To me it is more the texture than the smell or taste of it that is off putting. I just feel like I am consuming paste.

I am a weird one, I love the smell but don't like the taste much. I can eat it though, but it's so expensive and I like it so little that I would never buy one if it was up to me. A jackfruit three or four times large is usually the same price, and I feel jackfruit is superior despite me being outnumbered 3:1 in my house. You're right, the texture of durian is not so desirable for me either.

the smell of jackfruit is something that i find off-putting as well but you are correct on the value of it. Some of those are seriously huge.

Ahhhh! So cuddly and cute! They can't talk but they can really sense our feelings. Our pets are truly our stress buster! That tofu dish just had me salivating now Justin it looks so delicious made me hungry now. I can't remember the last time I ate a tofu dish that's why your food just makes me want to have one.
Oooo! Durian! I love durian as well. But it's expensive here in my city a kilo costs around $8 to $10 a kilo and usually the fruit is big that one piece is more than a kilo.... Haha.... So I can just look at it but not eat it! Haha! Lol!

Funny you say that, I know so many people that say they don't like tofu, but when they try my food their minds are changed. Same here with durian, it's a desired fruit and therefore expensive compared to other fruits. Here we can buy a massive jackfruit for $2.50 USD, so for me it's an easy choice between jackfruit and durian. I can eat durian, but I don't like it much, and because it's so expensive I just let the wife and kids enjoy it because they truly love it.

I was always a dog person until this cat adopted us as her humans. Now I spend my free time learning about the science of cat magic, specifically purring and it's healing properties.

Oh jackfruit! I love them too. I grew up having them on our own backyard. So many fond memories with jackfruits. So funny how in other places durians are so cheap even if it grew here in our country but when they travel the fruit it becomes so expensive. The middle man are really the one's dictating the prices.

I guess we all grow to love animals, pets, food that our Love one's love and like.... Haha

We have a cat too named Luna, a Siamese. We bought him because the owner lost his job and needs the money good thing he was just,9 months old back then because he is one fiesty cat. So loud and moody. But there can only be one Boss in the house and that is our Boss,.my husband so he learned how to bow to him now.... Haha.

Daww, she really is a cutie.

It's amazing how cats seem to Just Know when they're needed, then they come over and sit in your lap and purr. And purring has healing and soothing qualities. They're really magical creatures.

I have spent far too much of my limited free time researching the cat magic of purring. I am officially a former dog lover thanks to ChairWoman Meow, and I am fully convinced owning a cat is 100x more effective than doing yoga and attempting to align chakras. A foreign friend of mine that bought land next to us claims he vibrates internally when he meditates, and is able to do the same thing the ChairWoman can. I accidentally laughed out loud, perhaps I came off as rude, but there is no religious substitute for cat purring magic ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

Well, last night I caught her watching Steven Seagal movies, so I hope this doesn't lead to any unwanted behaviors ๐Ÿ˜‰.

Thank you my friend. Yes, ChairWoman Meow is truly magic. I recently learned not all cats can purr, and it's mostly limited to the smaller varieties of cats. This means my little ChairWoman Meow can do things an African lion can not, and this makes her even more magical and mystical. I have been studying online recently about the healing properties of cat purring, and I am truly amazed at the science behind this superpower.
