Done My Candy Granny Bag

Hello everybody,

Last Tuesday, I started crocheting another bag. A gift for myself on my birthday, July 16/17 that will be the following day already. Here, it is done last night.

I thought I can rush the Purple Buttony Bag but I change my mind. I set aside it first, the sewing of buttons could not be finished right away.

I found in my stash I have two available Rainbow Cotton, I estimated this could be enough for the quick and easy granny bag. I was inspired by the granny bags made by my Crochetist fb friend, Emang M Sijera, they were cute bags.

The goodness of crocheting granny squares, it was just easy, I could make the squares even without focusing on the items made. I made it even while viewing a movie and done right away the 12 rounds needed for the bag construction.

The following day I even crochet the squares while travelling.

When we got home even late at night I joined the folded 3 squares.

Sewed the button lock...

Sewed the strap bag...

My gift to myself...done!

This was the remaining yarn with the two rolls of Rainbow Cotton.

I will still buy the lining cloth for the inside of the bag. It must be a little thick and hard because this yarn is too soft.

Maybe you will wonder why I wrote that my birthday is on 16/17 of July or two days. This was the history. Since my childhood we celebrated my birthday every 17th of July. Then in 1995 when I got my passport to travel to Australia, I found out when I got my birth certificate it was written I was officially born on July 16. So, from that year onward I chose what day I celebrate my birthday. It could be on the 16th or 17th.

Every year I see to it I crocheted a top for my birthday but this year because of my busy schedule with household chores and caregiver of hubby, at least I finished this bag for my perusal.
