Panglao's Boho Chic Restaurant - MOSA!

mosa.png

The aesthetic boho chic-themed restaurant in Panglao, Bohol is compelling people both locals and foreigners to visit this place. I was not an exemption when I first found some online photos, I immediately added this to my "list".

I tagged my niece who is already becoming a lady for this visit. She was all ready to explore the aesthetic restaurant but wasn't prepared for what she would order upon arrival. Their menu can be overwhelming, especially to those who aren't used to visiting restaurants like this.

Coming from Tawala, you won't miss this spot as it's just next to the road, and with its design and colors, you'll surely look that way when passing by. I still had my Maps opened though just to make sure we won't miss it. It was two in the afternoon when we arrived and our first impression? Jaw-dropping wow!

Truly when passing by, this restaurant is persuading you to come. My eyes were drawn to that curvy cave-like structure at the entrance. The white and brown colors are truly aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

I believe these photos here says it all::

I checked what's the meaning of the Boho chic theme and my friend Google says:

"Boho style is a free-spirited aesthetic that mixes different cultures and artistic expressions into an eclectic style with an emphasis on organic elements and nature.

If you are familiar with Panglao's The Mist, this is a sibling of the said cafe and restaurant so you can already see how the people behind the two are really into aesthetic and quality. They certainly are hitting the target of catching people's attention and persuading guests to visit their place.

When we arrived at Mosa, I was totally in awe of how they made the design come together. They have a wood and white color theme, the furniture is wood and some were made out of rattan materials, surely they were locally sourced, there were several hanging lights made of native materials as well and the entire place has a lot of things going on but they are somehow blending well.

Outside were paddle boards and it got me thinking why there were paddle boards here, they seemed to be out of place but probably it's because of the colors.

Anyway, I love this image here of my little one smiling as we called his name. We had to order food and check out the place as we waited for our orders. There's no air conditioning in the restaurant so it was a little hot but I was thankful to the tree next to it, imagine if that was not there, we could be sweating!

Here are some of our pictures:

With its distinct design and unique meal options, this restaurant surely stands out from the competition and people today are all into what's new and Instagram feed-worthy.

Let's go and explore the second floor! We stayed on the ground floor though because there were people on the second floor and some tables were reserved. The ground floor however was empty when we arrived, although a few more other customers came and dined in.

Decoor, ambient lighting, and comfortable seating arrangements, all which you can find on the second floor. It also gives the guests a chance to enjoy the view of the neighboring hotel which has a pool. I love the hanging macrame all over the place!
And yes, they have several seating options. There's a bamboo wall with the restaurant's name on it, still aesthetic!

I took some environmental portraits of my niece while there. And stopped when we were told our orders were ready. The orders were served one by one. I hoped they served them all at once but I don't want to complain, I realized when they arrived that the servings were huge and could be shared. Let's talk about the food:

This is watermelon pop burst smoothie, a blended flavor of melon and watermelon syrup vanilla ice cream, fresh milk, fructose, and watermelon ice pop on top. Priced at Php 229. The husband and toddler approved it as they shared this glass! I don't know about you but this glass looks classy and picturesque.

Bear-ry bliss smoothie, comes with mago and strawberry jam flavor, fresh milk, and fructose, topped with diced mango fruit, mango boba, and mango bear. Priced at Php 268.

This bear is just an ice mold. I found this on the orange app before and I remember the sister restaurant Mist also offers this a drink with the bear. But this is still fun to have and good! The bear melts! This drink is too cute!

I couldn't remember what my niece ordered for her drink. I believe she only got an iced tea and I forgot to take a photo!

Chicken garden salad has prime veggies salad with grilled chicken breast on top and semi-spicy Caesar salad dressing. Priced at Php 365.

I love how they artistically arranged the salad and the sauce it looked like it was spilled but it was done on purpose! This was a good one plus serving can be shared between 3-4 people!!

Salmon with tarragon cream sauce. This is baked salmon with white cream tarragon side with baked baby potato. Priced at Php 699.

I love baked salmon and so when I found it on the menu, I knew I would order it. This is a little pricey and I remember The Buzzz Cafe offers baked salmon too but it's cheaper and comes in two big slices.

This one was still flavorful, the size of the plate however is so huge that it occupied a lot of our small table.

I ordered fries too because my little one might not be eating anything from what we ordered so far. This was priced at Php 75 per order.

Mosa (25 of 45).jpg

Cheesy Korean Pork, marinated grilled pork belly side with lots of sweet sour spicy fermented cabbage. Priced at Php 399.

The mention of cheese caught me so I ordered this for the husband as he likes pork belly. This didn't disappoint however, we weren't able to finish it as we were already stuffed.

I asked my niece to order whatever she wanted from the menu and she somehow was attracted to the burger without really reading what was in it. And so the surprise came when the order was served.
Crustacean Burger. From its name, its patties were made with diced shrimp, crab, and lobster meat, onion leeks with special coleslaw. This was priced at Php 359.
I actually regret not telling her that crustacean means an animal with a hard shell and several pairs of legs, which usually live in water. Crabs, lobsters, and shrimps are crustaceans. Now, she ended up just eating the salad and the fries which was served with it. I decided to eat it and it was good in fact!

That shell beside the burger wasn't there for aesthetic reasons only, it has its purpose, it serves as a saucer! There's sauce inside of it and it was a great idea as the sauce comes out of the tip of the shell cleanly! I just wonder how they clean it afterward.

Note: All prices are inclusive of VAT and subject to 10% service charge.

Overall, the food was good, the service was pleasant, the ambiance and cleanliness are top notch, they got enough parking space at the side and their comfort rooms are spacious and equally beautifully designed.

Now, if you’re seeking a unique dining experience in Bohol, MOSA Restaurant is a must-visit destination.
