Hong Kong Street and More, A #Monomad Challenge

We can't leave Hong Kong without taking some street photography so before our flight back to Cebu, my husband and I went around Central and our hotel's area to take some shots. I'll be sharing with you the following which I believe is good with black and white edits.

We took a train from our hotel and got down at a station stop which was very close to a tram station. I had to check my Google Maps timeline to check this so according to the app, from Kowloon, we walked towards McDonald's, we had to buy takeaway food, then we walked towards the subway and then dropped by Tin Hau station. From Tin Hau, we took the tram up to Queensway Road. This shot was I believe along Queensway when we were passing by the road. In this area, I have seen many nationalities, and most of the people here are wearing formal attire like they are going to an office or sort.

There are lots of shopping spots here too and I have spotted restaurants that offer different cuisines, not just Chinese.

This part of the city has a lot of people walking here and there. I also encountered some Filipinas who were offering me haircuts and other spa services. I wonder if that's their main job in Hong Kong or if they were just there part-time. I wasn't able to talk to them because they were always turning to other people passing by.

The streets of Hong Kong look like Colon Street in Cebu, it's very similar, in the feels while walking around, the noise, although there are no jeepneys in Hong Kong but it's quite similar, also in how the buildings look, except that these in Hong Kong are taller and higher, Colon Street which is the oldest street in the Philippines is filled with Chinese vendors and probably the reason why it looks super close.

And this scene above, this is typically how the streets of Hong Kong look, a lot of printed ads, people with bags and push carts roaming around just like this one below:

This scene is certainly familiar and Colon Street has a lot of it. So, every city definitely has something like this - hardworking simple people!

Let me share more images here while in Tsim Sha Tsui. Here's one of my favorites and I forgot where was this, anyway, the light was just right and the person in the center was just at the right time when this photo was taken. I could have removed the woman on the left on post but I decided to just leave her there.

It was amazing to see this line for this restaurant, I believe they cook local food and the banner says Eat More, More, and judging on the line, I suppose they got good food and perhaps affordable too! You'll see different types of people on the line, there were ones in office uniforms too. Unfortunately, we can't wait that long so we have to look for another option.

Well, we decided to have some bread instead and I found this $11 egg tart and it was so good! I don't understand why none in our town sells tart! These breads are also big! I bought some for myself, for my little one, and the husband. That's me buying the bread by the way!

Here are some additional shots from our Ocean Park visit specifically in the Old Hong Kong corner on the way to the Cable Car to the summit I found this picturesque that I had to get a photo taken so I asked my husband.

And then when we were about to enter the way to the cable car, we spotted the green tram at this time, we had not ridden the old tram yet but the Victoria Peak tram was a modern one so that's not very close to how this one looks. The next day, we rode the old trams of Hong Kong which are very famous too.

Here's another photo which was taken at a building underground, we were looking for dinner and we found these cute claw machines! Matti wanted to play but we had no coins and we were very shy to ask for change from the nearby restaurants.

That's my entry to #monomad black and white challenge! Thanks for reading!
