It's an honor to take photos of the Bulawan Child Development Center children who were the candidates for their annual King and Queen of Hearts. This is a tradition that has the goal of improving the daycare center's facility. The daycare center chose 7 girls and 7 boys candidates for the said event who will be gathering funds and based on whoever gained the biggest amount of monetary contribution will be hailed as King and Queen. It is a tradition that has been going on for ages and I remember I was also a candidate myself back then when I was also a little kid like them and this brings memories. I had a photo of myself during the coronation as a pre-coronation photoshoot was not yet a thing back then and the sole photo showed me with a sad face, I guess was just forced to join.

Anyway, this shoot was because they have a social media award wherein whoever garnered the biggest number of likes and hearts on their photos will win the award. The said shoot was planned for Friday, 9th of February. The parents were so busy prepping their little ones and they were wearing their best.

Since it was just a simple shoot, they didn't even have a backdrop so I went home and grabbed anything that I could think of for the backdrop, a curtain with some plastic flowers and foliage I placed in a board and let the kids stand a few inches away from the backdrop.

I must say, these kids were really shy but I did my very best to get them to participate, some were not in the mood and would like to back out but thankfully, we managed together with the parents. It took more than an hour to take photos of the 14 kids. All was well!

I am sharing the photos here because I think the kids did very well just look at their photos and these are just 3-4-year-old kids! I am very proud to see their cute and happy faces!
