Hyllus Diardi

One of the characteristics of spiders is their ability to make webs, which we know as spider webs. Spider webs are a medium for spiders to trap their prey. With this web, spiders, which are carnivorous, trap their prey in the form of other insects that fall into their traps. This is an example of a spider with its uniqueness that is waiting for its prey to be trapped in its web.

It turns out that not all spiders hunt their prey by making traps with the webs they make. Hyllus Diardi is a type of jumping spider from the Salticidae family that does not make webs to hunt its prey.

The jumping spider belonging to the Salticidae family is a jumping spider usually recognized by its eye arrangement. All jumping spiders have four pairs of eyes with one pair specifically being their large median anterior eyes. This type of spider does not make a web although from its abdomen it can release thick silk threads.

The silk threads released from the abdomen of this spider are used to make nests by rolling leaves into tubes and filling them with silk to protect their eggs and young to be in the nest it makes. This is the spider's nest that I found.

When the spider eggs have hatched, the small spiderlings are left around the nest and the nest will be abandoned. I found very small spiderlings.

That's the Hyllus Diardi spider in the Salticidae family, which is a type of jumping spider that has a beautiful shape and color.ee
