Greetings my dear friends and fellow Hivers on Hive blog. It's a privilege to get the opportunity to share my experiences with everyone here. I guess that's one of the benefits of being a Hiver on Hive blog, the chance to share and connect with everyone. Well in today's blog post I'll be sharing a thrilling past experience in my life. It's not exactly about me but it's about my Dad. My Dad had an amazing trip from our country of residence to United States of America.

The Impact of COVID-19

It was a really huge deal for all of us. This was because we never thought that the chance to travel far will come again. Covid -19 pandemic had caused a worldwide lockdown of countries. Flights were indefinitely cancelled and there was a lot of fear in the hearts of everyone of what was to come in the future.

COVID-19 declared over

When the pandemic was declared over or under control and airports or airlines were once again opened, it was one of the best news to all of us. We celebrated it very well because there was once again hope of a better tomorrow.

Purpose of travels

My father is a pastor who would occasionally travel outside the country to other nations to spread the good word. He had the chance to go out again. He was very happy that the pandemic was finally over and would not stop him from his travels. He is usually invited by churches in America as a guest preacher. After the pandemic, he had the chance to go again. He was invited as the main guest speaker of a program.

Preparation and COVID-19 Test

Dad went to the embassy and got all necessary documents for his flight. Well because the pandemic was still a bit around, he had to go through a series of COVID-19 tests. He told me it was an unpleasant feeling having the covid tester thrusted into his throat. He is a successful man and so he didn't have to go to any center to wait in line for the test. The doctor visited him in his office and had the test done.

Farewells

When it was time for Dad to travel, we organized a farewell party for him with the entire church. It was a joyous celebration. He travelled safely and came back after having one of the most successful journeys as a missionary. I'm proud to have a great dad. I would be traveling with him one day of course after I overcome my fear of flights and height 😅

CONCLUSION

I would like to end my blog post by thanking my amazing audience that read it to the end. This blog was to share a great experience I had with my family after Covid-19 was declared over. I am grateful that such a problem in the world has been solved. I hope that something like that will never happen again. This is why we must all be careful of our actions because it affects the future. Thanks once again for reading my blog. If you have any questions at all regarding my blog or travels, I would be more than happy to answer them. I would definitely respond well to all other comments.
