Hello Hivians!,

It's another blissful weekeneds full of funs and lots of activities. Very busy but full of happy 😁😊 and chilling when weekend is around the corner. Of course we would rest from our daily week days activities. Well, on this weekend, I decided to use one stone to kill two birds πŸ”.. Hahahaha...πŸ€£πŸ˜‚! Yah, attending lectures and after that mini shopping πŸ›οΈπŸ›’ for my family.

Lectures began exactly 7 am GMT. I quickly dressed up, bothered in a taxi to campus. I was 15 mins late but was able to join the first lectures. Campus was little calm since lectures for this semester began last week. Also, many students haven't made payments to register for their various courses so they failed to attend lectures.

Our second lecture was to take place at 11:30 am and closes at 1:30 pm. That was 2 hours lectures. I had to hang around or break for lunch after my first lectures. There was a campus canteen, so I went there and ate till the next lecture began at 11:30 am. When we closed from the second lecture, we suppose to wait till 2pm before we begin our last lecture, but we had information from the lecture that he wouldn't come due to a heavy downpour and as such the long distance he has to travel to reach on campus. It was an opportunity for me to check on admission for my wife at University of Winneba campus at Mampong.

I decided to make a mini shopping πŸ›’πŸ›οΈ to stock for some weeks so that the family can use for a while. Things are really costly due to petrol hike and increase in inflation. After lectures, I rushed to Attack shop at Mampong to buy some items.

I bought sunflower 🌻 oil called "Salt", "Moi Gold perfumed rice 🍚 that is 50kg rice one and pack of soaps🧼. My 3 children were lacking bathroom sandals so I had to also go further to the next shop closed to the entrance of the market to by some bathroom sandals. Fruits are the favorite of my family, I also bought water melons🍈, banana 🍌 and oranges 🍊 for our various desert. The following are table of items bought and their respective prices:

Buying bathroom sandals for my kids

Representation of summary of items bought & their respect prices in tabula form

Items bought WeightPrice
Rice 50kg $32.68
Sunflower oil 5kg $14.35
Fruits 3kg $6
Soaps 0.4kg $3
Sandals 0.05kg $3

The whole items cost $59.03 which would be about 639.95ghΒ’. This is quite a huge money for an average living Ghanaian but it is good to buy items in bulk and stock for some months than buying them in bit. Food is the basic necessity in life and as such mankind must get in order to survive. Some of the items which easily perishable like tomatoes, garden eggs are bought in small quantity in order not to rot.

In conclusion,

I am very excited 😊 my weekends have been successful having met my goal for today; attending my lectures and getting some few items to consume for some weeks, even though I would be buying some petty items within the month. I thank all of you for your attention!
