[ENG-SPN] Through the Enchanted Alleys of Betanzos / Por las callejas encantadas de Betanzos

Beyond its famous Hobby, the majesty of its architecture, both Romanesque and Gothic, and the outstanding contribution of the Franciscan craftsmen, who, with their apparent austerity, also took advantage of both, Betanzos has places that, by dint of mystery, seem irrevocably enchanted.

Enchantments that always invite one to that noble adventure that is reverie and that tend to turn certain settings into favorite habitats for supernatural fantasies, where only the silent echoes of the past and a few ghosts, fearful of the light, peer out, confused behind those glass panes mortally wounded by a patina of centuries-old dust.

This is the enchanted Betanzos: that medieval, silent Betanzos, which seems about to fall apart, mortally attacked by leprosy and the oblivion of the centuries, but terribly seductive, like those other worlds, which, whether we appreciate them or not, also continue in this one.

Más allá de su famoso Pasatiempo, de la majestuosidad de sus arquitecturas, tanto románicas como góticas y de la sobresaliente aportación de los artífices franciscanos, que, con su aparente austeridad, se aprovecharon también de unas y de otras, Betanzos tiene lugares donde, a fuerza de misterio, parecen irremisiblemente encantados.

Encantamientos que invitan siempre a esa noble aventura que es la ensoñación y que tienden a convertir, ciertos escenarios en hábitats predilectos de fantasías sobrenaturales, donde sólo están los ecos silenciosos del pasado y unos fantasmas, temerosos de la luz, que atisban, confundidos detrás de esos cristales mortalmente heridos por una pátina de polvo de siglos.

Es el Betanzos encantado: ese Betanzos medieval y callado, que parece que va a deshacerse en pedazos, mortalmente atacado por la lepra y el olvido de los siglos, pero terriblemente seductor, como esos otros mundos, que, los apreciemos o no, también continúan en éste.
