[ENG-SPN] Medieval Relativities / Relatividades medievales

It may seem like an incredible statement, but sometimes those discredited medieval legends, those fantastic stories that seemed to affect, especially, dreamy monks and extraordinary environments, have been confirmed in what we assume, possibly erroneously, to be brand-new modern discoveries.

Two clear examples of this, which, in reality, can be considered the same story, curiously separated by a few hundred kilometers, already expounded, in what in medieval times was considered with the poetic epithet of a simple sigh or a mere blink in the eye of God, the very thing that, at the beginning of the 20th century, was promulgated by one of the most brilliant scientists of all time: Albert Einstein and his Theory of the Relativity of Time.

Both abbots, belonging to the monasteries of Armenteira and Leire, respectively, whose names, Ero and Virila, seem intentionally related to principles such as Eroticism and Virility, immersed in similar environments where nature surpasses itself, experienced the relativity of time firsthand. Both, listening to the portentous trill of a small bird, fell peacefully asleep. As a result, what they considered a few minutes of pleasant and happy nap became, upon awakening, a reality in which several centuries had passed.

Puede resultar una afirmación increíble, pero en ocasiones, esas desprestigiadas leyendas medievales, esas historias fantásticas que parecían afectar, especialmente, a monjes ensoñadores y entornos extraordinarios, en ocasiones se han visto confirmadas en lo que suponemos, posiblemente de manera errónea, novísimos descubrimientos modernos.

Dos ejemplos claros de ello, que, en realidad, pueden ser considerados como una misma historia, curiosamente separada por algunos cientos de kilómetros, ya exponían, en lo que en la época medieval consideraban con el poético calificativo de un simple suspiro o un simple parpadeo en el ojo de Dios, aquello mismo, que, a principios del siglo XX promulgara uno de los científicos más brillantes de todos los tiempos: Albert Einstein y su Teoría de la Relatividad del Tiempo.

Sendos abades, pertenecientes a los monasterios de Armenteira y Leire, respectivamente, cuyos nombres, Ero y Virila parecen intencionadamente relacionados con principios como Erotismo y Virilidad, inmersos en entornos similares donde la naturaleza se supera a sí misma, experimentaron en sus propias carnes la relatividad del tiempo, cuando ambos, escuchando el portentoso trino de un pajarillo, se quedaron plácidamente dormidos, con el resultado de que, lo que ellos consideraban como unos minutos de agradable y feliz siesta, se convirtió, al despertar, en una realidad en la que habían transcurrido varios siglos.
