Bajo la severa vigilancia de montes ancestralmente sagrados, como el Teleno y la Aquiana, los viejos caminos de peregrinación que todavía jalonan esa región de León, eminentemente singular y verdaderamente misteriosa, que es el Bierzo, conservan lugares donde todavía, a pesar de la ruina y del abandono de sus antiguos habitantes, late un pequeño corazón de solidaridad, que anima a pensar, sobre todo al peregrino que se dirige a Compostela, dejándose llevar por la trascendencia de su aventura personal, que en el mundo, después de todo, hay motivos suficientes para la esperanza. Espíritus nobles, como el hermano Tomás, que, en su momento, decidió darle un sentido a su vida, instalándose en este pueblo fantasma, emulando a los viejos caballeros templarios que guardaban estos caminos y con el meritorio fin de auxiliar y dar cobijo a los peregrinos, resulta todo un símbolo de abnegación que merece todos los honores y que despierta -como en su momento pudieron constatar celebridades como el escritor Paulo Coelho y la actriz Shirley McLaine- esas maravillosas historias que todavía acontecen, sin importar las épocas y las modas, en este mediático Camino de las Estrellas, cuyas etapas, hitos y vicisitudes, invitan siempre a soñar.
