[ENG-SPN] Appearances that deceive / Apariencias que engañan

Regardless of the personal aspect that certain days mean for each one, the truth is that a holiday of such relevance, at least for us Spaniards, such as Hispanic Heritage Day, can also become the ideal preamble to discover scenarios, not exempt, deep down, from a certain curiosity.

Apart from the luxury of being able to walk freely through that superb vital artery of Madrid, which is the determining Paseo de la Castellana, anyone could think that the mob of walkers who go ahead, follows to the letter the indications of the equestrian statue of the Marquis of Duero, rushing to witness the premiere of 'The House of the Dragon', a series sponsored by Netflix, whose first episodes are already being sharpened in that imitation of popular news releases, which, basically, you might think it's social media.

But the truth is that people passed by and went, with more or less enthusiasm, spirit or disposition, further: they tried to find a suitable place -Tom Cruise syndrome, that is, an impossible mission if you have not previously spent the night in the surroundings - to be able to contemplate, perhaps with more desire than ever, the traditional parade of the Armed Forces, which, as we are seeing the situation in the world in general and in Europe in particular, have more purpose and meaning than ever.

Independientemente del cariz personal que para cada uno significan algunos días determinados, lo cierto es, que una festividad de tanta relevancia, al menos, para nosotros, los españoles, como es el Día de la Hispanidad, puede convertirse, también, en el preámbulo ideal para descubrir escenarios, no exentos, en el fondo, de cierta curiosidad.

Aparte del lujo de poder caminar a tus anchas por esa soberbia arteria vital de Madrid, que es el determinante Paseo de la Castellana, cualquiera podría pensar, que la turba de caminantes que van por delante, sigue al pie de la letras las indicaciones de la estatua ecuestre del Marqués del Duero, acudiendo en tromba a presenciar el estreno de ‘La Casa del Dragón’, serie patrocinada por Netflix, a cuyos primeros episodios ya se les está sacando punta en ese remedo de gacetillas populares, que, en el fondo, podría pensarse que son las redes sociales.

Pero lo cierto, es que la gente pasaba de largo e iba, con mayor o menor entusiasmo, ánimo o disposición, más allá: intentaba encontrar un sitio adecuado -síndrome Tom Cruise, es decir, misión imposible si previamente no has pernoctado en los alrededores- para poder contemplar, quizás con más ganas que nunca, el tradicional desfile de unas Fuerzas Armadas, que, tal y como estamos viendo la situación en el mundo en general y en Europa en particular, tengan más finalidad y sentido que nunca.
