[ENG-SPN] Ancestral architectures / Arquitecturas ancestrales

If there is something that this unrepentant traveler knows well, it is that, in that world that one day he set out to discover, obviously, following the timely advice of the illustrious father of the Jungle Book, Mr. Kipling, everything, even the most humble pebble on the road, has its beauty, its importance and even, if you press me, its particular transcendence. It is that other world of contrasts, of infinite nuances, where everything shines with its own light, making up with an environment, which, although not extreme, must necessarily be sterile, making good the saying that everything has its place, its moment and its reason for being.

Precisely in this place, located halfway between Castile and Aragon, two ancestral architectures are contemplated, however, in a metaphorical mirror, completely lacking the inconsequential burden of vanity. The beauty of the old Cistercian monastery from the 12th century is in no way superior to the beauty, which, in its humility, is displayed in a typically rural architecture, whose architects also knew how to create worthy oases, in a terrain beaten by the erosion, with the mud and stone of a land, which, without a doubt, was mother, quarry and shelter for both.

Si hay algo que sabe bien este impenitente viajero, es que, en ese mundo que un día se propuso descubrir, obviamente, siguiendo los oportunos consejos del ilustre padre de el Libro de la Selva, Mr. Kipling, es que todo, hasta el más humilde guijarro en el camino, tiene su belleza, su importancia e incluso, si me apuran, su particular trascendencia. Es ese otro mundo de los contrastes, de los infinitos matices, donde todo brilla con luz propia, maquillándose con un entorno, que no por extremo, ha de ser necesariamente estéril, haciendo bueno el dicho de que todo tiene su lugar, su momento y su razón de ser.

Precisamente, en este lugar, situado a medio camino entre Castilla y Aragón, dos arquitecturas ancestrales se contemplan, no obstante, en un metafórico espejo, carente por completo del lastre inconsecuente de la vanidad. La belleza del viejo monasterio cisterciense del siglo XII, no es, en absoluto, superior a la belleza, que, en su humildad, se despliega en una arquitectura típicamente rural, cuyos artífices, también supieron crear dignos oasis, en un terreno batido por la erosión, con el barro y la piedra de una tierra, que, sin duda alguna, fue madre, cantera y cobijo para ambos.
