In Cumaná (Sucre, Venezuela), an annual event was established in the early 2000s, coinciding with the conventional date of the city's founding (November 27), as it was the first city founded on the American continent by the Spanish conquistadors in 1515. The event was called “Las Noches de Antaño” ("Nights of Yesteryear") and continued for several years. It was then interrupted due to “socialist” prejudices, but was revived two years ago. There are kiosks where the people of Cumaná sell different local and national products, and there are also festive shows and performances.

I attended again this year, and amid the crowds, I was able to take some photos with my cell phone. I have selected a few of them for this occasion.
