La naturaleza siempre será el gran modelo o referencia de la vida en general, como ya lo advirtieron los sabios antiguos. Las estaciones del año o los ciclos de las plantas, por ejemplo, han sido tomados como arquetipos de los procesos vitales, llegando a construirse a partir de ellos metáforas de lo humano.

Así, mayo es mes de regeneración, brote o florecer, asociado a la primavera, y queda atrás el marchitamiento y la aridez del otoño y el invierno. Lo que se cumple así para algunas zonas del planeta. Pero luego vendrá el verano, que en ciertos países es también sequía. De modo que estamos en un constante devenir natural, donde un estado da lugar a otro, proceso que puede ser tomado como figuración de lo que nos ocurre a los seres humanos.

A finales de abril tomé estas fotos en un espacio de Cumaná (Venezuela), que quieren ser una muestra del movimiento y ambigüedad de la vida. Se trata de dos ejemplares del mismo tipo de árbol: apamate.

At the end of April I took these photos in a place in Cumaná (Venezuela), which are meant to be a sample of the movement and ambiguity of life. These are two specimens of apamate.
