Port Irene, Casambalangan, Santa Ana, Cagayan, Philippines is home to Maseta Beach. A beach where you can enjoy the white sands, have a bonfire with your friends, grill barbecue and sing with them, and, of course, swim and take photos with them!

March 15-16, 2022

This year 2022, one of my unforgettable experience was our B.E.A.C.H with friends and some of my family. Every time I see our photos together, I think to myself, “It feels like it happened yesterday.” Until now, I'm hoping we can go to the beach again. I already miss it, which is why I'm writing this blog..

Sunset

We arrived at the beach before sundown, we grab that opportunity to take some photographies.

Sunset is my favorite farewell. It's a lovely way to say goodbye.

I adore the lighting of my camera when the sun shines on my skin. I just want to stay still and feel the warmth of the sun on my face whenever it shines.

I also wanted to sit and enjoy the cool sea breeze and the warmth of the sun. Jeycel and I took a stroll around the venue. We decided to take pictures before going night swimming. Eden, our cousin, said she'll go pick some shells because she's not in the mood for photography at the moment.

Actually, Jeycel was not in the mood to be photographed. That's why I asked her instead to be my photographer. She agreed, which was good.

After we walked around, we returned to our cottage. We saw Ahyen and her Cousin Joy taking a groufie together there. They have invited us to join them.

I found Eden alongside the sea. Enjoying her alone time picking some shells.

Here's what she got!

When the elders have called us to eat our snack, which is grilled barbecue (my bad, I didn't take pictures haha.) We took a rest and snack first then I went out of the cottage and I went alongside the sea.

I wanted to take picture but I was alone. Glad MJ, came and he took these photos of mine.

Jhong’s Cabin

These are simple nipa house where you can comfortably sleep. It's good for couple to stay here.

Cottages

For the group, we rented and occupied two cottages.

However, because our group was the only visitors at the time, we were free to sit in other empty cottages. That's what we did after some girl talk. I also recall Ahyen, who brought her modules with her and worked on them at night in one of the cottages there.

Jeycel, Eden, ate Russelle went to the other cottage. We had bond together singing some songs. When Ahyen done with her modules, she joined and we sang some songs again.

Night Swimming

What's more, guess what! Despite the cold weather, we went night swimming! But we still had a good time because we weren't just swimming but also talking about life, about our goals as individuals.

MJ’s mom took a picture of us. Before night swimming.

Second Day; March 16

We got up early because we have a zoom meeting at 8 a.m. We remained at the beach. The sky was overcast, and it was raining.

After the zoom meeting, I was relieved that the weather was improving but still not sunny.

Cousin's Photograph

Since the weather was gloomy, we didn't enjoyed swimming that much. After swimming, we already decided to take pictures together.

The others were enjoying the waves.

Eden suggested, to go and pick some shells again for souvenirs. We walked along the seaside to find some shells.

We had some things to talk about while walking. We were planning to bring some dresses for photoshoots when we returned to Maseta Beach because we were not prepared at that time.

MJ and I also had a photo together. I was laughing when these photos were posted in my fb account.

Thanks to my aunt and uncle for inviting us in to this trip. You know that we won't say no to ocean trips.

This two-days vacation was fantastic. I hope we can go again soon. I don't know, but I'm completely obsessed with the sea. I'd like to live there. I believe I would have a calm mind haha.

I started this blog because I want to remember the good times we had back then. I want to keep photographs that will last forever.
