Big bear w/honeypot sculpture

Hello and good morning all,
Today's post is this big bear with a honeypot I carved for great customers who were moving from NY to South Carolina and wanted to bring a piece of upstate NY with them.

Started out as a large log stood up, as they all do..
Here's after just a couple cuts, blocked out.

Bears are pretty easy to me as I've carved thousands of them. So, I was probably about an hour in at this point.

Dialed it in a bit, about an hour more of carving..

A thousand cuts later and it was haired and detailed, with the chainsaw only.

Next up was the torch, I got footage this time...

Painted it black with the airbrush, then it was time for varnish. Which I have footage of also..

After varnish I painted the honey to finish off.

My customer was extremely happy with their bear. So much so they occasionally send me pictures of it dressed up for holidays lol.
