Why Is My Fluted Pumpkin Turning Yellow and Spotted? Common Leaf ☘️☘️Diseases Farmers Ignore

Most times, we farmers believe that every yellow spot on our vegetable plants in the garden is a result of drought, but the truth is that drought only plays a minimal role in this.

Fluted pumpkin is a highly reliable vegetable for many small-scale farmers, as it provides a high amount of nutrients that supplements often struggle to match at a significantly lower cost, considering the minimal stress put into cultivating it.

Sometimes, despite regular watering, we find spots all over the leaves of these vegetables, and this makes us wonder what could really be going on because this is clearly a sign that the fluted pumpkin is not healthy.

When we see these yellow spots, we immediately begin to blame drought, but drought is not always the cause. In fact, it is most times not the case; rather, it is something we are not paying attention to.

This spots don't show so much during heavy rainfall periods mainly cause the cause of this spots are infections like fungals and bacterias that find it difficult to do well then the leaf of the plant is constantly washed by water especially rainfall water, pest don't find it easy either this consistent rainfall reduces the possibility of this infections damaging the leafs of the fluted pumpkin.

Now we are currently in the dry season, and we've actually abandoned the fluted pumpkin for a while now without watering. The obvious signs we are seeing are the presence of this infection on the pumpkin.
