When Feed Isnβt Enough: Using Supplement Injections to Support Livestock Health ππ
I know most homesteaders love to keep animals for one reason or the other and most times we have their feed to contend with as an obstruction to achieving that plan.
This post is going to open our eyes to a little bit of knowledge for farmers who don't know about supplements and how they work.

When you are rearing animals at home the major challenge you face is feeding the animals and making sure they are not just fed but that the animals get the correct measure of every need nutrients.
My goats are fed using leftovers from our kitchen and edible green grasses that can be found around the house, what I mean by edible is that not all grasses are edible for goats.
There was infact a time when my goats where exposed to certain grasses that caused severe poisoning among them thank God we had a vet close by to help we would have lost them.

With this kind of situation you can see just how hard it can be to feed them and not just feed them but to give this goats what they need the most.
There are times when they don't show visible signs of malnourishment but that's the thing with animals certain kinds of minerals or vitamin's might be lacking in their meals but the visible appearance doesn't show it.
π‘ Tips for Beginners
Give your animals some dosage of multivitamin once a while, the best thing is to have a diary that contains all their information from the meals the animals eat to the last time the animals where sick every information counts.
π You should try using supplements once a while and if you are not so sure ask a vetinarian for advice on it
