Manually harvested my rice from the farm

HELLO HIVE

I am currently harvesting my rice in an order according to how ready the farm is ,the three months have already being harvested and I will bag them very soon . Small scale farmers in Nigeria most times do their rice harvesting manually because of the cost of purchasing rice harvesting machines that are costly and expensive to manage over a long time .

We use sickle to cut the rice plant at the low part of the stem and then it is carefully arranged to make the next step easier and faster for the farmer , the cutting aspect are sometimes giving to hired workers cause rice work needs a lot of hands as much as the farmer can put together.

Next up is beating the rice against an object that will make the rice seeds to fall off the plant , to do this there will be a big bag that will be on the ground so that the rice seed can fall on them . We make use of a huge branch of tree or a metal container like a drum then the part I don't like the most is how we make the rice clean from dirt's like the broken branches of the rice plant and then we can gradually start bagging it all together it takes a lot of effort to complete each task but at least we made it through.
